I just happened to be at the post office today inquiring about transit times.
the lady at the desk told me "regular" shipping takes four to six weeks, That is 4 to 6 weeks, they must put that sh*t in a row boat.
thought I would pass that on.

WHAT! i think she meant surface. you gotta go airmail...there are some GLOBAL priority boxes around there. they have fixed rates. some have weight restrictions (under 3 pounds), some do not.

do not go surface! what a bad lady!

Yep, that's surface . . . the slowest way . . . . it'll travel by boat . . . to some countries, it's 4-6 months . . . .

just some advice . . . the post office does not have a "regular" service . . . often, when someone asks for Regular, the clerk doesn't know exactly what that means . . . . "regular" is different to each person, so some clerks may assume that "regular" means cheapest, while others might assume it means the best service . . . . it's always best to ask all the available options, and make a choice based on what's available . . .

I wouldn't even ship fruitcake by surface. She told me that air shipments arrive in around 4 days

well, 4 days is good...if she said 4 WEEKS, ask her what kind of air??? i mean, airplanes that slow would fall out of the sky...it usually takes 5 days on average.
