One more quick question for you out there. What is the best way to humidify a humidor? I have a small 50-75 count humidor that uses the honey comb disk you add the solution to. It does not work all that well. Is it possible to over humidify if I bought one of the bigger square types? How well do digital guages work in your opinion? I use a regular (anolog?) guage and it is fair at best. Do any of you use the gel tubes? Sorry that was more questions than I antisipated but any help would be great. Thanks again- Mike

Invest in a digital hygrometer. Your cigars if you fill that humidor will much more than offset the cost of the hygrometer (maybe 20 bux?) and they're typically much more accurate. That's not to say they should not be checked/calibrated.

A digital shouldn't cost you any more than $21. I wouldn't be without one.

I have one of those Don Salvatore ones, though it's not branded as such. With the salt test it was dead accurate. Plus, it stores high and low temperature and humidity readouts so you know if there have been any extreme fluctuations.
