Your reasoning of why it is a war about oil was only because, "they have oil". Well they have sand too. Maybe we should call it a war about sand.

Tailgater - I was in Dublin durring the war protest. To answer your question about how many of those people are truly informed? Well, I saw a bunch of signs about "No War for Oil", then saw signs that said "Not Anti-American just Anti-War." There were a few that said they WERE anti-American. Some said" Leagalize Pot" others had giant signs promoting their business. There was a group of people holding signs that read" US Veterans Against the War" That said more to me than the people with the sign of the American Flag on fire.

So, to answer your question, I Don't think many people had ANY idea why they were there. I saw hundreds if not thousands of the signs stated above. It seemed to me it was like a bunch of people just needed something to do. It was very strange.
