An Open Letter To The Hollywood Bunch

OK let's just say for a moment you bunch of pampered, overpaid, unrealistic children had your way and the U.S.A. didn't go into Iraq.
Let's say that you really get your way and we destroy all our nuclear weapons and stick daisies in our gun barrels and sit around with some white wine and cheese and pat ourselves on the back, so proud of what we've done for world peace.
Let's say that we cut the military budget to just enough to keep the National Guard on hand to help out with floods and fires.
Let's say that we close down our military bases all over the world and bring the troops home, increase our foreign aid and drop all the trade sanctions against everybody.
I suppose that in your fantasy world this would create a utopian world where everybody would live in peace. After all, the great monster, the United States of America, the cause of all the world's trouble would have disbanded it's horrible military and certainly all the other countries of the world would follow suit.
After all, they only arm themselves to defend their countries from the mean old U.S.A.
Why you bunch of pitiful, hypocritical, idiotic, spoiled mugwumps. get your head out of the sand and smell the TradeTowers burning. Do you think that a trip to Iraq by Sean Penn did anything but encourage a wanton murderer to think that the people of the U.S.A. didn't have the nerve or the guts to fight him?
Barbara Streisand's fanatical and hateful rankings about George Bush makes about as much sense as Michael Jackson hanging a baby over a railing.
You people need to get out of Hollywood once in a while and get out into the real world. You'd be surprised at the hostility you would find out here. Stop in at a truck stop and tell an overworked, long distance truck driver that you don't think Saddam Hussein is doing anything wrong.
Tell a farmer with a couple of sons in the military that you think the United States has no right to defend itself.
Go down to BaxleyGeorgia and hold an anti-war rally and see what the folks down there think about you.
You people are some of the most disgusting examples of a waste of protoplasm I've ever had the displeasure to hear about.
Sean Penn, you're a traitor to the United States of America. You gave aid and comfort to the enemy. How many American lives will your little, "fact finding trip" to Iraq cost? You encouraged Saddam to think that we didn't have the stomach for war.
You people protect one of the most evil men on the face of this earth and won't lift a finger to save the life of an unborn baby. Freedom of choice you say?
Well I'm going to exercise some freedom of choice of my own. If I see any of your names on a marquee, I'm going to boycott the movie. I will completely stop going to movies if I have to. In most cases it certainly wouldn't be much of a loss.
You scoff at our military who's boots you're not even worthy to shine. They go to battle and risk their lives so ingrates like you can live in luxury. The day of reckoning is coming when you will be faced with the undeniable truth that the war against Saddam Hussein is the war on terrorism.
America is in imminent danger. You're either for her or against her. There is no middle ground.
I think we all know where you stand.
What do you think?
God Bless America

Charlie Daniels should stick to novelty country songs. 'There is no middle way.' Uh, yes, there is.

No one actually believes the litany of positions he runs off, so this is really a non sequitur argument. Completely irrelevant.

I Like his New Song... well it's a little old.. he wrote it at the time of the rememberance of the WTC and they invited him to sing there... but told him he couldn't sing the song so he told them to stick it...

Song: "This Ain't No Rag, It's a Flag"

bet the Politically Correct wouldn't let Daryl Worley sing his new Song there either...."Have You Forgotten"

then you have Dennis Leary... On the "A$$H0L@" Song

Why do Suicide Bombers only have one test after there training class??

Is it "Politically Correct" that I Kiss every Bomb I load on the plane before the Mission??

Remember Slim Pickens in "Dr. Stranglove" YEeeeeeeeee HAAaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just "Proud to be American"

This just in.........

Reuters March 5th 2003.

Rare ailment affecting military personnel.

A spokesman for the Pentagon today announced that many of our servicemen have recently been afflicted with a virus resembling mononucleosis. Air force Col. Robert Estes stated that the ailment whose symptoms include fevers, chills, headaches and vomiting has primarily been found in those handling various types of ordinance.
An early investigation by the Army's chief medical officer revealed that in all these instances, it was found that the serviceman or woman had affectionately kissed the weapon before sending it off. (Sidewinder missiles have been particularly hard hit.)
Said Col. Estes, "Since the earliest days of the military, soldiers have grown unnaturally attached to their weapons. From Horses to M-16's, the ardor has been profound. however, we still encourage or personal to switch to less intimate forms of affection. A gentle pat on the tail fin will suffice."
The Pentagon expects that with the increased buildup to a conflict with Iraq, that more servicemen will fall ill from this unpleasant disease.

That's Some old News Spiny!!!

That was news back during the Gulf War...these guys were hugging and kissing there tank rounds.... not thinking about them being made from Depleted Uranium...

Then more recent findings were in cases released from study's done on members who enlisted after the Gulf War.. during the time of the don't ask/don't tell policies of clinton era.. in 1993 and 1994 there were a couple of cases where individuals were diagnosed with an unfamiliar rectal cancer... after investigations and further medical exams revealed that these cases involved the individuals were having sex with 30 MM depleted uranium rounds commonly used in the Gatling Gun (GAU 8 30 MM Cannon) on A-10 Tank Buster Aircraft. these individuals were later discahrged and charges were filed on grounds of distruction of military property, and Theft, seems even after body cavity searches some of these rounds have never been accounted for...

On another Note: U.S. May Use Escorts For Planes
WASHINGTON - The United States is considering whether to send fighter jet escorts with reconnaissance planes near North Korea after jets from the communist country intercepted an American surveillance flight and shadowed it for 20 minutes, Pentagon officials said Tuesday.
This report has thrown the Missile Industry into a tizzy... seems all the serial numbers on the missles to be carried on the escort fighters have been changed to "OICU812" a spokesman for the Industry reiterated if for some unseen reason these missiles do not get used, then the tracking system we use to keep up with maintenance data will be lost with Identical serial numbering....

The term is "There is no middle ground" your such a Doofus...LOL

You disagree so you dismiss what he is saying and label it as completely irrelevant. Typical Lib,here's a little suggestion, stick to preaching to those brain dead college students you all seem so adept at turnung out.

Novelty country songs? Oh OK.

jjohnson,

I appreciate you belittling my profession (and my students...'braindead'? Hardly. They are brilliant). Remember that I work hard to educate young men and women to be good, hard working citizens, and I do it for very little pay and (as many on this board have evidenced) zero appreciation or respect. I don't know your profession, but I sure wouldn't belittle it. That's classless. Pass along your profession, though, in case I feel like taking a cheap shot.

Ha ha ha...I just 'disagree' and so dismiss? Hardly. This rant is completely moronic and you know it. It doesn't discuss anything anyone actually believes and makes the most irrelevant points: 'tell a farmer whose sons are in the military...blah blah blah...' What is the possible point of that? If my son is in the military, then I am beyond criticism and everyone should do what I say? Well, if that is a source of authority, my father was at war when I was born and came back a decorated hero. So whatever I say is right, correct? Especially if he supports what I say? (He is staunchly against the war, by the way...medalled three times for three separate acts of exceptional heroism, two tours of Vietnam, grunt and officer...not to be dismissed lightly).

I of course don't agree with using that as a source of authority. No matter what he does, he's a citizen just like you and I are; that's democracy, my friend.

'Smell the Trade Towers burning...' Shame on Charlie for using that tragedy to advocate for something unrelated. That is just shameful. He should be condemned for using the loss of thousands of innocent lives for this.

Charlie should stick to his backward friends when he wants to rant about this nonsense. I'm sure they'll be happy to hear about the good old days when women and blacks weren't uppity and knew their place and you could beat up gay people without going to jail. Chug another warmed over beer, Charlie, and slip further into irrelevance!

"Shame on Charlie for using that tragedy to advocate for something unrelated." ??????????????????????????

Unrelated ????? Not from where I sit, it isn't ... that attack on America was the first strike at the US homeland in a new age of warfare ...

Those particular targets and the people in & around them were chosen deliberately by our enemies for their symbolism and to engage our media ... their INTENT was to divide us and they appear to have read us all too well ... because they cannot defeat us militarily, they were counting on being able to defeat our collective will to wage the battle, to play us off, one against the other .... ONLY in that way, can they win ...

Liberals all over the country are marching and displaying their bumper stickers ... "Stop the War" ... "Peace Now" ... it is as if they believe that by giving Saddam a hug, we will win his heart and mind ... by doing so, will will show Osama that he can come out of his cave and get a warm hug too ... then we can all be friends ...

How naive ... how unaware of facts can a person be??

Make no mistake about it ... WE ARE ALREADY AT WAR!! ... we (collectively) will recognize that now or we (collectively) will be forced to realize it later ... the war was NOT of our choosing but has been thrust upon us ... we can either rise to the challenge or meekly accept the fate they would force upon us ...

I, sir, am with Patrick Henry on this one ...

I don't want to get into a shouting match with our esteemed teacher, but it is sad that they do not teach History today in schools! It is tainted with Political Correctness and many great moments in History go overlooked by our "teachers" of today. I am not saying all teachers, but it is sad when the Oakland school district acts as irresponsibly about the prospect of overthrowing Saddam and outright backs the Anti War efforts. I do not want War, but I am realistic about the facts and they seem to point in that direction...............duh, hello liberal left!
