Irrelevant, and much ado about nothing in my opinion. Perhaps, the photographer violated some (unknown to me) journalistic code of ethics? The final photo doesn't really appear to change with the integration of photos, and I don't believe it's an effort to show a British shoulder threatening to shoot a man with his child.

What's amazing to me is that a left wing rag, like the LA Times, fired the guy over this. Maybe they're trying to change their image or maybe the paper knows something about Walski's background that we don't.
