A buddy of mine just returned from Jamaica. He brought an R&J (supposed) Havana, as well as a local Jamaican smoke by the name of Fundadores. I searched the net and found very little about this cigar. The Habana Trinidad has a Fundadores size, but this cigar is actually called Fundadores, and the size is lonsdale. He purchased them in a wooden box of 5 sticks, and (over)paid $35 US. The store owner wanted $45 so my friend thought it was a bargain. I've yet to smoke it, but I would like to hear if anybody knows about this smoke. The shop owner "highly recommended" it...for his purse, I would imagine....

Okay, here is what I got from my trusty Perelman's Cyclopedia (get one, they're cool.)-------Perelman's '97 says-----Fundadore Jamaica, Handmade in Kingston, Jamaica. This brand is made by the Combined Tobacco Co. and offers mild, rich flavors. Connecticut wrappers are offered in both natural and maduro shades. Perelman's '99 says-----This brand is produced by the Barrington House of Kingston, Jamaica and offers mild, rich flavors. Connecticut shade or Ecuador wrappers offer natural or maduro styles. Fundadores Jamaica is available in a Gold Label Cabinet Series that features vintage leaf and also a Red Label with aged leaf. Mexican binder and filler from Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Mexico.

Thanks I never heard of Perelman's Cyclopedia. I'm going to order one now. It sounds like a must have.
