True, Rick, true. Still, for me, the late 30s was the golden age of auto design. I saw Al Jolson's 1938 ---oops, was it a Dusenberg or a Mercedes?--- roadster at Harrah's Auto Collection a long time ago, and between that and the Bugatti Royale, I was in a trance for months.

i spoke to al. he got a good deal on a 60 month lease and decided to turn it in at the end of the lease.

i still love to look at any restored 30's - 60's car.

do you think any one will want to restore a honda civic in ten or so years from now? i saw a new mini-cooper. if i was goind to drive anything small that one would be it.

Funny, this subject popped into MY mind just yesterday ...

Yours is pretty much the same question I asked myself back in the late 50's when restoring cars from the 20's and 30's was the all the rage and a Deuce Coupe was what absolutely EVERYONE wanted ... who'd ever wanna restore my mothers 52 Chevvy coupe, I asked myself ... but yesterday we were at the home of some friends ... he took me out to his shop in back where he proudly showed me a 52 Chevvy coupe he got last week and told me of his plans to restore it ...

So, I dunno, Rick ... maybe the answer is "yes" ... a better question might be whether some of us will be around long enough to see it happen ...
