Does anyone have any recent tastings of Micubano. I used to buy em occassionally a couple of years ago. I thought they were a great low priced smoke. (in the robusto size). I bought a petit corona (all the shop had) the other day and it was heinous. Reason I'm asking is I saw an add in a recent cigar catalogue where they are clearing out remaining stock at 29.95 per box. comments please. If these still taste as good as they used to then this is a good buy.

Also I bought a couple boxes of "Legion" cigars at closeout. They are'nt bad. Very smooth medium to full body and woody. Kind of strange though. When I took the celo off the boxes there was this sticky oil on the boxes with a strong cedar smell. I wonder if this was sap that leached from the boxes or some kind of oil they sprayed on the boxes before they sealed them? Anyone else ever experience this?

i smoke these driving to and from wherever. the 852's are good in a casino when you want 2 slot machines side by side. the place usually clears out before i even light the cigar. it's a good 2 hour smoke, so no one sits next to us except other cigar smokers, who, of course are the people you want to talk to. now, please tell me where the $29.95 close outs are. [email protected] incidentally you can install a clock mechanism on the side and the box makes a great pencil and misc holder. i wish i had seen the post before i overbid on the 5 packs.

Too true Rick! There's no better way to clear some slots or a blackjack table than lighting up a stogie, ANY stogie, it doesn't mattter how good or bad it may be.

I've had the MiCubanos before...For a closeout stick, they're pretty tasty

Had the same cedar "sap" experience with a box of La Tradicion Dbl Coronas. A past post speculated that the box cedar was harvested at the wrong time of the year producing the running sap effect. Sounded reasonable to me.
