What some don't seem to undertand, is that plabonte's thread was in reference to their retail site and cigars ... and this one is just a question about the BB that was closed down.

In my post above ... I said that I dind't know how else to pose this question, but if Steve or any of the staff opposed to my mentioning it, they could pull it with no ill feelings on my part ...

Either they didn't see this thread ... or they felt it was a legitimant question about the now extinct BB.

They do not engage in selective 'yanking' of threads or posts. Several people on the CB staff have the responsibility of monitoring these forums, and what they feel is appropriate ... and may have different feelings on the end result.

If this this thread bothers anyone here ... bring it to their attention. It's run it course, and is pretty much dead anyway ...

I guess my original post should have just said ... 'that other BB that they closed down', and I'm sure everone would have known which one I was talking about. I'll admit it, poor judgement on my part.

I also see you are bound and determined to make this thread disappear, and now that you posted the URL to the actual cigar site, it's probably gone for sure now.

You realize, of course, that nobody is actually offended by your posting of another site.
Rather, it is your constant citizen arrests that have prompted their responses.
We realize that you're intentions are pure, but the "hall monitor" behaviour is rarely embraced.
And to add further insult, you readily admit that CBid monitors these boards themselves.
In other words, if Cbid is capable of determining whether your post is in violation, then they are capable of determining it for the others.

For the record, had you simply said "BB at another site", I would not have known what you were talking about. So you really did have to mention their name to make it clear, at least to me.
Unfortunately, this is all but lost due to the circumstances.

But what CB has stated in their 'Rules and Guidelines', is what should be respected by all who post here, including myself. Just because they don't pick up on every 'misguided' post ... it dosen't mean that it's OK to do it. But that's just my opinion ...

Whether my "hall monitor" behavior is imbraced or not, you of all people know that this is the way it's been for the three years that I've been on these forums ... and it's not likely going to change anytime soon.

With all the activity that goes on on these forums, you must realize that CB can't possibly keep up with every post. And as I have stated numerous times before ... the staff at CB has told me that they appreciate my efforts in helping to keep some structure to the forums.

As long as I don't overstep my boundries, and follow the format that the CB admin has set up, in the way they want their forums to operate ... I see no harm in what I do.

Heck ... think about it. If those who offend would just use some common sense, and think before they post, you wouldn't be hearing any 'Slim-Slaps' in the distance.
