Prediction: In the 22nd century, Bush's face will replace the other George W. on Mt. Rushmore. His future memorial in D.C. will be visited by more people than visit the Lincoln and Jefferson combined. Dubya's face will replace Franklin's on the $100 bill.

No one will remember Al Gore or Ralph Nader. Bill Clinton jokes will fade faster than Calvin Coolidge jokes, partly because there was no Dorothy Parker to skewer poor Bill. (If there had been, he would've tried to skewer her.)

Oh Rick (laughing!) Do you REALLY believe in your heart of hearts that he personally destroyed jobs? You don't think it had anything to do with the recession which started before he was sworn in? Or the problems that befalled the country after 9/11? Enron and MCI? etc...? None of that had anything to do with it? It was aaaaaaalllll Dubya? All of it? Part of his master plan to destroy America? So now when we head to the polls, we have to wonder if we're electing to get or lose a job?

Get real! Take a little ownership in your own behavior and hold those accountable for theirs! Businessmen, CEO's and Board of Director's are your enemy not a political affiliation! Realistically, the market was overdue for a correction. I'm not making light of those that have lost employment, but to keep millions of dollars in CEO salaries and kick people to the curb tells me their priorities are in the wrong place. I don't want government intervention in the creation of jobs! I want to see more "perp walks" by CEO's and how's about some prosecutions!

First of all, ask any economist, a President has little to do with the economy.

Second... Sorry Charlie, I think he's not bad but he's NOT a great President. He's not a bad politician what with the "Endless War on terror". Most folks in this post-Vietnam world don't like bashing a war-time President (present company excluded Rick).

Third... Al Gore does suck! As an independent, I hate 'em all! Nearly all politicians are PAC money-grubbing sell-outs! I'm always forced to vote for the lesser of evils.

Fourth... Has anyone seen what the Democrats have for next year? Oh man, they're in trouble! If they want the White House back, well George had better screw up bad. Either that or the economy had better tank even more.

I do think we need to be strong. We don't always do the world justice with our gluttonous ways and there will always be those who want what we have but would rather take it than work for it. But as an empire, we are probably the most docile one ever all while being the strongest in Earth's history. For the most part we ARE the good guys in the white hats.

For all of this though, remember... Democracy is the worst form of government..........until you try to find a better one.

Speaking of bonehead Democraps, the ones from Texas escaped to Oklahoma to avoid redistricting. They have had it their way for over 130 years and now the Republicans are set to drive and they run out of town so the is no quorum to vote. This is typical of the Democrats, partizen politics. Huge problem is there is a lot of important issues to vote on and if they are gone until Thursday, they win by default.
It is obvious to the citizens of Texas they really dont give a sh*t about us, only their personal agenda.

I don't know if it's possible since he has no "Daddy" to influence an election for him but I'd like to see McCain in there. Like I said before, George is going to have to screw up pretty bad or the economy is going to have to take another nose-dive in order to get McCain thru the primarys.

McCain is not perfect by any means but I doubt there is anyone who can say they don't respect him. Can anyone honestly say they respect Bill (Clinton) or George more than John? Have you seen him on Charlie's favorite "The Daily Show" on Comedy Central? He's funny as hell, yet I don't think someone like Bin Laden would enjoy a tangle with him. He's honest, cool headed (for the most part), dedicated, serious and hilarious. He's just plain cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For a politician.
