I had heard that the Bush administration had set out to win the Presidency in order to ruin America. Jeez. I think that we can all agree that the current, past, and future inhabitants of the White House, regardless of political affiliation, are truly patriots with nothing but the best intentions. The problems are created for the most part in the galleys. The only issue I would take up with you Rick, is that you pin everything on Pres Bush, 1 man. I think the Federal government is a little more complex than that.
You are indeed a conspiracy theorist not to be ignored 🙂

i don't feel condemnation from your post.

my vision of reality is not skewed. it is also not affected by pictures of w gingerly jumping from an airplane. i don't hate bush, he knows not what he does. he is a spoiled little simpleton in charge, sort of, the hen house.

i don't like what is being done to our country, and lucky for you, you can't see it, sad for me, i can.

What don't I see?

Patriotism at an all time high in my lifetime?
Pride in the Oval Office?
A functional First Family with Values?

I realize that we differ politically, but that is not due to vision or lack thereof.

Why do you feel that some teens drinking is evil and riding at 100+ MPH is fun?

Drinking at a party is far less dangerous than reckless driving. And unless I'm mistaken, the Bush twins have not driven while inebriated.

Hypocracy does not become you.

you asked me if i had had drinks underage.
you asked if i could remember. i remember stupid things i had done in my life. it's only 52 years ago and i do remember. i'm not being hypocritical i was a dangerous dumb ass at 17, but i was good to my pigeons and made sure they always got fed and always had fresh water.

from what don't i see

patriotism, the last refuge of a scoundrel.
i too noticed the freshly vacumed carpet and the clean, streak free windows.
functional, it does appear that they get along with each other.
values, clinton may have been accused of rape, but bush is raping the country and there is not one democrat that is pointing it out to the public.

nadar was correct, this is a one party country, the republicats.

Rick,
I didn't ask if you could remember. It was someone else.

As for hypocracy, you claim that since the Bush twins drink underage that george is a bad father.
You've claimed that several times on these boards.
Yet you acknowledge that you also did stupid things when young. Does that make your parents bad?
I doubt it.

sketcha, what about Cathleen Willy, Paula Jones, and the "others". I can't remember them all... You truly believe he did not abuse women?

sketcha, if you think that GWB is a criminal, that is too bad and I feel sorry for you! Otherwise, no further enlightenment from me!

they were lousy parents. mother too self absorbed. father gone a lot, show business.

i will give you one example from 54 years ago. when i was 16 i got interested in driving and knew i had 365 days to go before i could get my permit and marked the calander with x number of days to go. on my birthday i got my permit, but my father was too busy to give me any lessons. neighbors taught me to drive and my father taught me to abuse his cars anytime i had permission to use them.

when i bought my first convertable in over 20 years, in 1974, we had been driving family cars, 2 or 4 door rambler, chev, whatever, i parked it in the driveway, top down and looking cool. ross who had been driving abou 8 months asked if he could use it. i told him the keys were hanging on the key rack. i did not follow him to the car or examine it when he came home. it was transportation to him, pretty snazzy transportation, but not a toy.

my parents simply not prepared to have children. they were too young and hadn't found themselves. they never did find peace in their lives.

no forgiveness, they were aftr all responsible for what they did. i do understand the why's and because of that, toby and i married late, me 31, toby 27. our children were raised to their advantage. we broke the chain of bad parenting that had existed in both our families for generations. ross and bradley were kept away from the families until they were old enough to not be influenced by them. ultimately they were brought to family functions when they could say, wow, these people are interesting.

their children and grand children will never have to deal with parents who shouldn't be parents.

why can't sketcha know, or think that w is a criminal without you're feeling sorry for him. did you ever think, even for one moment, you might possibly, maybe, have judged w incorrectly and that he is in fact a scoundrel? see how polite i am to w.

Hey Rick I'm in Denver so I didn't have time to respond sorry.

When they were caught in the bar what was their blood alcohol level? Were they drunk? Believe it or not some people get fake IDs so they can get into the bar and NOT drink. They do it just for the social value. Some of the best dance clubs are 21 and over. I'm not saying that is the case here but I'm saying it is a posibility.

Drinking is a scially acceptable behavior, and legal (if you are a certain age). All these kids are trying to do is grow up a little faster. In my mind that is a perfectly normal behavior.

You smoke. That is bad for you. It is unhealthy and therefore not normal. (same in my mind as drinking) Does that mean you had bad parents because you are doing this. By your logic yes.

Rick, I'm curious, you seem to have a fair amount of animus for alcohol, are you a recovering alcoholic?

no i am not an alcoholic, recovering or otherwise. if those girls had been busted for shoiplifting, same lack of parenting would apply.

no internet in denver, better tell gore.

you are too kind. they were there to drink and party, not just to have a sociable drink which they are still not legally able to buy.

here's the acorn, here's the tree. pretty close to each other, aren't they.

False logic.
You have no idea whether George Bush ever drank in front of his kids.
Kids from good households do things they shouldn't. Heck, often it's the kids on the shortest leash that lash out the loudest.
You have no idea.
Your judgement is clouded with hatred for our President.
Again.

As for your parents, sounds like you've got some unresolved issues that needn't be shared on these boards. I appreciate your candor, but it isn't appropriate to delv into such topics.
Peace.

I HAVE MENTIONED THIS OVER AND OVER, I DON'T HATE BUSH.

you asked i responded.

now i will ask you and everyone else the same thing

why is it that you bush people overlook, ignore, and disregard every single thing about him that could be considered negative?

why do you treat him as if he has never done wrong, and never will?

why is he sacroscant?
