Finally!! I've managed to score a business trip to Tampa, FL. I made hotel reservations downtown within walking distance of about half a dozen cigar stores and dozens of restaurant and night clubs. Should be a lot of fun. I don't leave for a couple of weeks. In the meantime I have a trip next week up to Fairfax, VA then a week long vacation in Pennnsylvania.

Downtown Tampa turns into a ghost town after 6pm. The nightlife is in Ybor and Channelside.

Word to the wise...

I'm staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Tampa/Ybor City. It's on 9th Avenue.

Less than 20 miles. It's straight highway for me. I-275 to I-4, then first exit...boom I'm there.

Look forward to it. I can count on my brother-in-law to join, and perhaps Remington and all of the Tampaites could show up and do a lil herf...FLA style. Think Jimmy Buffet, drink something cold and smoke something worthwhile!

Sounds good to me. I just spent the past 5 days up in Fairfax, VA. Found a couple of cigar shops and smoked quite a few cigars at the hotel. I'm heading up to PA on Sunday to visit relatives. If time and ambition permits I may try to make a run over to Bethlehem to visit the good people at CI. I'm flying out of Virginia on Aug 4 headed to Tampa.

I got in to town this afternoon. I made a quick pass through Ybor city and stopped at a couple of cigar stores. I smoked a short story while I was roaming around then I smoked a locally made El Sol cigar while sipping a cold one at Adobe Gilas. Just got back to my room and discovered the Packers are playing a pre-season game. perfect end to the day. I look forward to meeting you guys on Thursday.

El Sol has a real small maddie that'll have ya talking to yourself for about a 1/2 hour. I'll point them out on Thurs.
