kind of a "twig-like" consistency with subtle aroma of tree bark and dry clay. even so, i'll smoke 'em anyway!

those ten pack bohemian samplers. too expensive and mostly crap.

The worst cigar experience I had was a Perdomo The Cigar which tunnelled after a half inch.... I smoked a couple most of the 10 I bought and they both canoed badly. Gave one or two away and put the other 5 to rest and haven't touched them for 3 years. Maybe they are ok now....

Thomas Hinds Hondurans are often mentioned in the dog rocket category....I personally tolerate them as a lawn smoke and don't mind them at all.

The worst cigar at CBid is no doubt the Vega Fina Spanish Corona tubos.......I bought 160....smoked one...unraveled one to see what the hell was inside...and gave the other 158 away. Maybe the tubes were good for sumpin but the tobacco is crap.

The worst I tried here was one of the bundle's of Tamboril Cordova Torro's (another boom gar bust) that were on special three or four years ago. I attempted to smoke one and it tasted horrible. Couldn't even get a quarter of the way into it. In fact, I didn't even try another. Tried to pawn the rest off on the guys at work. Three coworkers turned them down before one finally wanted them and he never paid for them.

heh... well, i do have to say this: I LOVE TAKOMA!

*nod* it's true. rickamaven graciously sent me a fiver of these when he bombed the hell out of me along with some other sticks (like montegues, which i also think aren't too shabby).

anyway, i smoked a lone HDM machine-made isom i discovered that i botl had sent (thank you!), and it was the most amazing cigar that i wanted to cry when it was gone. not too long afterwards, i smoked a takoma, wondering about the rumors of ISOM tobacco in it. honest to goodness, the takoma was ALMOST as good as the HDM isom!!

now mine is far from being a palette that knows ISOM tobac when i taste it. that's my first and only ISOM that i've had. but i gotta say that the takoma was really not that far off from the HDM at all.

sooooo... when i got my allowance for feb, i bid on and won 2 fivers of these. i've shared 2 of the 5 i had (still awaiting comments) and smoke 3 of them, and each one has tasted very very good to me.

for what it's worth...

yeah, i'm interested to hear what others think of the takoma, esp. those who have smoked a good many ISOMS.

I'm with Mean on this one...they do a nice job as a yard smoke for me.

bud -- think they taste anything near an ISOM or no?

just had my first Takoma (thanks to Rick for sending these beauties) and I liked it very much! nice good draw, mild taste, nice ash and it never went out on me LOL that's how I can tell a good 'gar - it stays lit! so I agree with you - the Takoma is a good 'gar!
