Hoagie,

I'm with JD1. I don't think they'll leave it.

I'm pretty sure that I sent it with "Signature

Confirmation."

It should be arriving today though!

You all can rest now, the eagle has landed.

The reason we could not track it is that it was only insured, there was no delivery confirmation nor a signature required.

We need to make sure that it has delivery confirmation from now on so everyone can track it if they want.

Octo, you need to go to your post office and tell that guy that the screwed up royally and worried you to death over nothing.

Decisions decisions decisions.

I know, I'll just take them all! Ha ha!

There is entirely too great of a selection for this man. As soon as I make a decision, I take it back and make a different decision. What's a guy supposed to do?

Gentlemen:

And here are my takes and puts for the pass. This was one of the most difficult choices that I've had to make in a long long time! I hope that my choices are acceptable to everyone. And I really really hope that I didn't take the one stick that Roman had his eyes on. Let me know before Friday if I did and I'll make a change.

Drum roll please.....

I am driving up to Dayton on Friday to hand off the box to Dan at the Dayton Mini-Herf.

I am putting my digital hygrometer into the box overnight to get a good reading.

As to keep everyone cool with box passes and the

excellent way in which Roman put this one together

I respectfully decline in taking part in a future

box pass. I followed all guidelines that Roman laid

out and the actions of one ignorant postal worker

tarnished the pass & my small reputation that I do

have. I'm still happy with the pass though and

received several cigars that I have not tried before.

Package was to have:

- Insurance for $600

- Tracking Number

- Delivery Confirmation

- Signature Requirement

Don't worry, I'll still be on the trade boards though.

If anyone ever wants to trade just holler. Roman can

attest that I'm a worth-while trader.

Puff Puff,

James A. (a.k.a. octowings)

Octo,

Don't worry about it! Everything worked out alright, and you know to double check that postal worker the next time.

Your reputation is just fine and still in tact on the board. Don't punish yourself for a minor mistake made by others. You made some very nice exchages with this box pass and there's no reason to not participate in the next one just cause of this little mistake.

Hey Octo,

I screwed up too. Damn Postal worker messed with you, I screwed up, on my own. People make mistakes, and everything worked out for the best, though I am still kickin myself in the @ss for my mistake. I wil participate in any box pass, with you included, as you are a "Brother of the Leaf".

Later

BTW, Octo... What's tarnished ??? Nothing by any fault of yours...

Not to mention, you're putting a lot of pressure on us guys following you. I'm gonna be scared $hitless when I send out the box now... hoping that nothing happens... Maybe I'll drive it to the next person... Unless something happens while driving... What was that?? Who's there ?? Who's watching me?? Who is listening??? Shhhh... they're all around...

Octo,

What are you worrying about? As long as the box was insured everyone was covered. The tracking number wouldn't have helped if it got lost.

I had the same thing happen to me once. The worker told me that I could track my package by the insurance number. I never figured out how.
