You may not agree with his politics, Rob, but to call him a loser, I think is reaching pretty far. He's a thousand times more articulate and intelligent than our current president. I believe George has his strengths, but I'd like to see the 2 of them in a debate.

I realize compared to all the amazing things you have done in your life Gen. W. Clark (Ret.) must seem like a complete loser but to the rest of us less fortunate people who have not given this country as much as you have Gen. Clark is great American. So how about this, like your momma always said if you don't have something nice to say about someone don't run your soup cooler and everyone else will not think you just like to here yourself talk.

I've seen him interviewed. I'm entitled to my opinion. I'm sorry if anyone finds "my" opinion offensive.

I can't really figure out what he stands for...the website, and other sources I've seen, just list quotations from which you can guess at his position on various issues. I'd have to see a lot more, personally.

I will say this much: he and Kerry make Bush and Cheney look like a couple of wusses when it comes to military record and integrity. That alone would make for some interesting conversation during the election cycle! After all, Bush isn't going to run on the economy!

I see General Clark, on a fairly regular basis, at least 2-3 times a year. He is bright, articulate, very quick to respond in times of crisis, and served this country with honor for more than 2 decades. He is not a politician. Bush, on the other hand, Can't speak in complete sentences, was awol for almost a year of guard duty, has sold himself to the highest corporate bidder, and couldn't find his way out of a barn, if he was standing in the doorway, without advisors to show him the way. The only thing Bush has done that is smart, is finding very smart advisors, and following some of their advice. Now which one is the loser???

Robby, I am not offended by your opinion of the man I am only questioning your definition of loser. If you indeed find his ability to speak on subjects suspect then by all means say so but if you just are saying he is a loser because you think it is "in" thing to do you should break free from your need to belittle other in an effort to make yourself feel more important. Others will view your intellect on your ability to communicate with them in a mature and educated manner. Reading some of your posts I can tell you are very outspoken on certain topics and have presented your views in a logical and articulate manner. When you answer a post with "He is a loser" people who read it will not be able to differentiate between the bravado and the real you. You are an intelligent person let others know it. If you want to say you do not support a candidate or his position that is fine, but to call a man who has accomplished great things and given so much of himself to this country a “loser” is making you appear a small minded man.

Who said anything about being offended? You posted your opinion, others posted theirs. No big deal. Sorry if you felt attacked, it was certainly not MY intention.

He is a military man and not a politician, but he certainly looked and sounded like a politician and a liberal one at that. I saw him interviewed on Hannity and Colmes and he was every bit the consummate politician. The fact that he will run as a democrat puts him at a disadvantage with my ideology.

Additionally, a General who wants to be president could be a megalomaniac. Not trying to indict him on that one, just raising the possibility. Although arguably, the same claim could be made for anyone running for President. If he runs, I’ll look forward to hearing more about his views on the issues… But again, in my book, he has 2 strikes going in if he runs as a democrat.

He hasn't even announced that he would run. The website, is by his friends, and fans, urging him to run. His first statement about running, was announcing his party affiliation.
He is much more toward the center, than the average Dem. I would like to hear more on his views. But it has been years since I last voted Dem. They went too far to the left. I'm too conservative for them, too interested in protecting my civil liberties to aline myself with the Republicans, though they are more to my liking. I do not like Bush, so I am exploring all candidates. My self, I am Libertarian.

Me too. I wish they stood a chance, I would for lib. And in fairness, I don't know much about his positions well enough yet, just his party affiliation, so we'll have to wait and see if he even does run, and then more information on what he would do.

Yes Robby,
I too want to see his platform. He is a friend of my fathers, and I believe he may be more conservative than even his supporters know. It is obvious that the republican nomination is sewed up. So what viable alternative could he have, but the Dems. He could run as a Libertarian, which I personally would love, but he wouldn't stand a prayer of mounting a successful campaign, without the finacial backing of a Major party.
But who knows where he really stands. We will see.

I'd vote for him, he's more of a moderate dem that any of the others out there... If he runs he has my vote.
