I made mention of the fact several weeks ago that my wife has left and taken our infant son and filed for divorce. This came after some reorgs at work which placed considerably more stress on me. This morning, I learned that my Mother whom I was very close to passed Saturday evening unexpectedly. I am the executor of the estate and am making plans to deal with my father who has many issues including early Alzheimer’s.

This is “testing me” and I am asking for the members of this board to please remember me in their prayers. I will be off line for several weeks.

Robby: It is absolutely necessary for you to see an attorney immediately, for several reasons. If there is an estate, and you are still married, your wife has a claim against your inheritance during the divorce proceedings, unless you had a prenuptual agreement. You say your wife "took your infant son." Do you have court arranged visitation? Has she left the state, denying you access to your child? There are many legal ramifications of a pending divorce when there is a death and inheritance. Get a recommendation from a person you trust for a lawyer that specializes in divorce/family law and has an associate that is an estate/will specialist.
