Hello, my name is Gael. I own La Luna Cigars. I am not here as a manufacturer, but rather as a brother, and lover of the leaf. Since I do a lot of business with my friend Keith at Cigars International, I thought that maybe I could answer questions you may have, regarding my cigars.

I am also available to answer some of your questions about cigars in general, and look forward to participating in this forum.

Greetings from Sarasota. I heard you on "Smoke This" with the General a few weeks back. Hope someone down here will be carrying the Fuerte Series soon (have told a few to try to get some). When you get a chance, try to get the La Luna web site updated with contact phone, fax, or e-mail items. Also, you talked about a sampler with both African and Maduro cigars in the pack. How about getting some on the Quikie or Sampler board here so that more forum members can give them a try. I liked the Maduro and have some African's on the way.

I have been fortunate enough to try the new African Fuerte #5 Perfecto and sincerely believe it will be one of the Top 10 New Cigars introduced in 2001.
The flavor of the LaLuna AFP#5 appears to be more complex and the strength slightly reduced as compared to the Maduro Fuerte's.
Was the new blend created to produce these results and what specifically in the blend creates this effect ?

The chest for the African Fuerte #5 Perfecto is by far the nicest that I have ever seen.
Who is the designer of the chest ?
Within the chest the cigars are rested in three individual stackable cedar trays of ten. I noticed that the first two trays are removable from the chest.
Is the third tray ( or lower most ) also removable ?

Thanks in advance for your time and reply.

Best wishes for continued success with LaLuna Cigars.

Quality products at a very affordable price like you provide us is getting harder and harder to find these days Gael.
I have not smoked a LaLuna cigar that I did'nt like!!
Oh I've of course smoked a very few of them that had a problem...e.g.,off taste, poor burn or draw. But that is expected with a handmade product and they have been few and far in between. When I got a bad one they were all from another vendors old LHB stock that had not been cared for correctly.
The new LaLuna Lines,Maduro Fuerte and African Fuerte, and any of the LHB I have gotten from Cigarbid have all been Excellent Cigars!!!

Wow! I believe we have a celebrity among us. Thanks, Gael. I, too, am a La Luna fan. A friend of mine, Tim Blankenship (whom I met here!) speaks very highly of you and your staff. Just today a package arrived for me from another fellow aficionado here, jjohnson; he sent me a LL African Fuerte to try out. Tonight I'll fire it up and come back with my "expert" opinion. Your products are spoken very highly of here. The Maduro Fuerte line is one of my absolute favorites. I look forward to your participation here!

Hi Gael,Welcome.I've been a fan of your LLMF line for a while now, actually it was some of these guys who turned me on to them.I've tried them all except the new Hoyo Negro but it's next on the list beleive me. I have to admit I'm also a new fan of the LLAF's although not at first,at first I had to get past what I thought they were going to be like. Then I started to really enjoy them for what they are. They IMO are truly different,a medium bodied smoke whith a wonderful flavor.
FF/Chris,glad to see you getting up and around, you would know me by another handle but you should be able to guess by my initials.JJ.I do have one question Gael, how did you get so much flavor into that little LLMF Colada?definitely one of my favorites.Keep em coming,I'll keep smokin'...

Hi there Gael. Welcome to the bottomless pit called "Cigarbid.com" It's kinda like a casino, but with better luck. I think your African Fuerte is THE best cigar to come out in the past couple of years....well, since the Maduro Fuerte.......

Welcome Gael. I really like your cigars and you've got great price points. When did you switch the packaging on the LHB bundles? Of all the smokes you make that I've tried, (didn't have the African Fuerte yet), I like the LHB Especial No. 5 the best. I just won another bundle a month ago and noticed different packaging. When did this happen and is this the same blend that I already love or not? Thanks ahead of time. Email me at [email protected] and I'll send you a link to a good club of great guys (AKA KC'S Cigar Aficionados).

Hi Gael....it's been said but I must agree.........never had a La Luna Cigar that I didn't like, and the African Fuertes are TOPS. As are the Maduro Fuertes, and the Reservas, and the LHB's, and the .........

Hi Gael, I haven't had a LaLuna I didn't like. I was gifted a few Fuerte's and I must say it was one of the most powerful little cigars I've ever had (including Cubans'). I am curios about the Colada. How was it that the cigar became the best products made out of Miami? Was that intentional or our out of the desire to keep it close to home?......Brent

Just so you know, the first full-box purchase of cigars I ever made was a box of La Luna Sumatra Robustos. My lawyers and I hold you personally responsible for turning my dalliance with cigars into a full-blown passion.

Good Work! ;-)

Other than the Natural Fuertes, are there any other cigar lines currently planned? I remember rumors of an all-rosado line a while back.

Everybody likes to talk about the African Fuerte, because it's the new thing. And I've never heard a bad word about the Maduro Fuerte, which is my favorite.

But as far as I know, the best value cigar, bar none, is the Java LHB of various sizes that Cigars International sells for about a buck each.

If you can get one for less at a Cigarbid auction, go for it!

I think it's about time to initiate Gael to the picture board. Perhaps someone could go over to the La Luna Public BB and swipe that picture of Gael and Marta. I'm sure Hubcap want's to get in on that act!!!
