Super-Premium is usually pretty subjective.

Premium means anything that is hand-rolled. Whether it's short-filler, long-filler, mixed-filler, sandwich...if it's rolled by hand, it's a premium cigar. Many will argue with this, but it's the truth.

Super-Premium denotes a step above premium cigars, and is usually based on price. Perdomo Lot 23 might be a premium cigar, while Perdomo ESV '91 is super-premium. However, others might consider Perdomo ESV '91 to be a premium, while the Edicion de Silvio is a super-premium. This is where it gets hazy.

Thankfully, there are plenty of 'premiums' out there that burn and perform better than 'super-premiums,' which is very nice to our wallets.

if Nestor Reserve is 93 rated then it is certainly a Super Premium

I know, but if I had just written "Trick" then I doubt anyone other than a a few would have gotten the joke (and then I even wonder about that).

I could have also said "Cam2" to make it a bit more obvious.

But the REAL SUPER premium is finding 92 or 93 at $3/gallon.

I'd call the famous smokes as super premium, things like PAMs and silvio and opus. To me I think calling everything hand rolled premium is funny. I think premuim to me is the good sticks the old venerables of consistency like H uppman, punch, and such like that. The average sticks that people here call "yard gars" or "crap" those are just hamde made cigars. Still with this industry everything is a true habana corojo, or "have finally achieved that cuban flavor" and is "rare" and "super premium".

Definitly have to argue with this. If it is not hand rolled, I call it Crap. I would not count any of the "Yard Gards" a Premium. To me you have your yard gards, your everyday cigar, followed by the Premium Cigar and the Super Premium. I would condsider PAM 64's and Ashton VSG's as Premiums and Opus X and God of Fire's as Super Premium.

I agree with va. There are a lot of hand rolled cigars I would not consider premium. However. The super premium label is overused. Particularly by the folks trying to sell them.

Since price mostly defines "premium", this would explain why some super premiums suck for some and not for others and vice versa. I think the CAO Boss is a super premium cigar but yet I don't care for the Padron Anni line which would also be a super premium in my book.

^ What was it about the PAM's Line that you didn't Like? Did you smoke both the 26's and 64's? I know everyone has different taste, just Curious why it didn't float your boat. I have past out many a PAM 64 Torpedo, and never heard anyone say they ddn't like it.
