I'm sure the title is making some people here really cringe, but too bad!

So, does anyone here collect firearms. If so have anything interesting? Just curious.

"Collect" as in old stuff no. Collect as in new stuff with a big bang...I try when ever the budget allows.

BTW, I like the 2nd Amendment!

I have about 15 or so. The interesting ones are a couple of German pistols my dad took off Krauts in WW2. The .32 has a wooden handle with x's carved in the back. The other is a luger. Other than that, I love the sound my Benelli makes when you chamber a round... Cha ****!

Old, new, no big deal really. I like both, money permitting!

Those 'vet bring backs' from WWII are awesome finds, I can only wish I had some. I highly recommend you hold them as long as possible. I recently talked to a guy who's uncle brought back a mostly new Gewehr 43 from his tour in WWII. He told me he didn't really want it, so I offered $500. He almost took it, but then decided to keep it. NOOOOOOOOO!!!

Robby, since the German guns you have are so old and dangerous maybe you should send them to me so they can be properly disposed of. Lmao.

Collect whatever I can afford. I try to stay the old traditionals Muzzle loaders.... Nothing like hunting and knowing you only have one shot.

I only collect what I shot... and I like to only carry one weapon system. So I guess I don’t collect... 😞

I don't have the time (or inclination) to list my firearms, let's just say I have more than one safe. I shoot, compete, hunt, reload, just about anything I can get my hands on. But if I had only three to live by, a scoped .22, a 12 ga. pump, and a .357 wheelgun, they are the workhorses of my collection...

I don't really hunt but do go shooting as often as possible. I had been really into collecting WWII-era battle rifles (although some might not be the exact time range of the War). Three of my rather unique rifles that come to mind are:

1)A 1932 Soviet Ministry of Defense 91/30 Mosin Nagant rifle (the Ministry of Defense, or MO, were the guys herding people onto trains sending them to Siberia, pretty much one of the secret police groups).

2) A 1941 German K98k Mauser with all the original German marks intact, not real common.

3) A Persian 8mm long Mauser, again with all the original markings, all numbers matching and even a numbers-matching bayonet. I'm not sure of the year though, everything is stamped in Farsi and I'm not real up to speed on that! Awesome rifle, with the bayonet attached it's taller than I am, and I'm 6'3"! It has a striking lion crest on the receiver, might have to post a picture of it, very cool.

Then there are several Finnish M39 Mosin Nagant rifles from the WWII era. I have several of the various manufacturers, but mostly the B barrel variant. These M39's are EXTREMELY accurate too. Fun to shoot.

My new 'baby' is a Russian AK-74 with Aimpoint red dot optical sight, but I won't go into detail with this, seeing how it's an 'evil black gun'. Haha.

I'm definitely a hunter. I only use my guns for bird tough and varmint. I don't like to use my guns for big game, that's what bows are for.

I kinda assumed we would all be NRA members. The hunters/collectors that is.

I have all "tactical" style toys, I used to hunt down and kill the hell out of those metal plates.

I dont collect guns.. but I own 12..

Another proud NRA member. I am not a hunter but love to shoot and just like the american express card I never leave home without my 380 or if I am going into really seedy areas I might take the Colt Python 357 mag or Glock model 17 9mm. I have had my pistol permit for about 25 years.

I only one rifle. It's a 22 that belonged to my dad. It's one of the few things that I have that he gave me before he died. It was too hard keeping guns with all the moving in the military and time I spent overseas. The 22 was in storage for about 10 years and I haven't shot it since I took it out of storage in 97.

My brother had a good selection of guns to use whenever I went home on leave and wanted to go hunting.

If you want to see a truly awesome collection of Colt firearms there's a museum in gettysburg PA that has a pile of historic pieces and commemorative pistol sets.
