Funny to me he could not remember any of this material when he was being questioned about it and now he writes almost 1000 pages of bull---t and fiction! LOL

I'd love it if we got comments from someone what actually reads this book from cover to cover. Those of you who haven't read the book (myself included) have already set your opinions on Clinton long before this book was released and hence your thoughts don't center on content but what opinions you accept on the event of this book tour and release. If anyone has really read the book those thoughts would be most welcome. I'm not sure if I'm going to buy it or not... Got several other books on my list.

Personally I could care less what he has to say and I will not be reading a single page let alone cover to cover.

His insatiable appetite for the media spotlight will never cease.
I could never read this book, and Clinton himself has strengthened my conviction towards that end when he stated that the impeachment trial was not a stain (his word, not mine) but rather a badge of honor.

But I may need to reconsider. It appears that Dan Rather gives it high praise and recommends it. And the media coverage that CBS and others have given to the release of it is indeed no surprise, even though it is unprecedented.
Unbiased mainstream media?
You'll NEVER see that kind of coverage for a book release by a conservative.

Almost forgot.
dbguru, I think that is the first post in a couple months that you didn't use the words "neo-con".
Are you cured of your redundant passion for this abused catch-phrase?
I hope so. It got to the point where I couln't even read your posts.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the compliment...
You should know that the term "neo-con" is not meant to be deragatory. I have seen right wing journalists use the term to desribe themselves on numerous occasions. On CSPAN last week I watched William Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard and frequent guest analyst on Fox News refer to himself as a neo-con without one ounce of shame. Brit Hume is another I've seen do it... If they have have no problem with self referencing themselves as neo-cons, then it really shouldn't be such a big deal.

db,
I only mention it since you seemed incapable of creating a paragraph without using the term.
And you know that you have only used it in a derogatory sense.
Good luck with the rehab!

Tell ya what.. you buy the SOB, Read it, then set up a book/cigar pass add all your premo sticks in on the onset of the pass. and I'll be the first and will read the book... and smoke your cigars as I read it.. then pass what remains to the next person on the list... sounds fair and honest to me??? after all while I'm reading smoke up my ass I might as well have some good smoke from a fine cigar passing through my lips ;0)~~~

And Gater... I see you are now ok with the neo-con designation too. You know how often right wing pundits use the word "liberal" in deragatory and generalizing ways. Proof of that is that I'm sure you (and most neo-cons) in general have not a single positive thought when someone says "liberal" to you. That is the outcome of a constant persistant campaign in brain programming by right wing media to use the word, liberal in a derogatory way.

I'm angry with the way the new right wing (neo-cons)hijacks my English language to by playing word games and demonizing people and words like liberal. Gater, please understand my use of the word, neo-con is just a response to the whole situation. Don't take it personally. If your proud to be one, good for you. So if we have disagrements, I'm still pretty sure you want what you think is best for the country, just like I do.

My only real beef with the neo-cons is not their beliefs and values... its their belief that the Bushes really represent their beliefs and values. This is where I think neo-conservaties have made a major mistake. For me, it really has been the Bushes policies and misdirections that have changed me from a relatively moderate Republican into a more liberal Democrat over the last 15 years. This happens when leadership pursues polarizing and policies without compromise. My main disagreement with the neo-cons is really over the Bushes, their key men in the administration (Cheney, etc.) and IMHO how their policies stem from a view of the world and this economy that is just not realistic and perhaps dangerous to our well being.

Of course I haven't read the damn thing! I scanned thru it at B & K and started laughing out loud! It is fiction, through and through and filled with paranoia and lies!

db,
My self installed nickname was merely in jest. No, I do not consider myself a neo conservative.
And yes, I do use the term "liberal" in both a negative and positive fashion.
I look at the feel-good bleeding hearts as liberal pieces of excrement. That's negative.
But if a gorgeous top heavy blonde girl were to apply a liberal amount of baby oil and rub vigorously, THAT'S a positive!

I apply the liberal tag to those who embody a consistent left-minded approach to a non-responsible life. It's not merely dem vs republican.
You, on the otherhand, have labeled everyone a neo-con who agrees with even one issue this administration has.
That is not only painting with a broad brush, but it also diminishes anything worthy you may state since you start out with a closed-minded introduction.

mmmmmm. baby oil...

You know you can have a left minded approach and lead a very responsible life. What are your thoughts on that?? In fact, I see left minded people as often being much more responsible for a variety of things... Do you really think liberals are irresponsible by nature?
