Rick watch the video. He's not grabbing her, or yelling at her. He's being polite and asking for clarification. Then she convolutes what he was asking into something else and wants to slit his throat for breathing the same air as her. Watch the video Rick.

The tape has been doctored by the vast right wing conspiracy and the conservative media. Look what happened to the Clintons.

Is it just me or does it seem that this woman is on some serious medication? I saw her at an event in the Iowa caucuses and she did not seem 'all there' to me. I said to my friend she must have forgoten to take her meds that day. She just seems like she has adult ADD or something like that...

Rick, how unfortunate that you label Charlie as a lemming.
For doing so has strengthened your "anti-everything conservative" persona.
Charlie simply stated his opinion of the situation based on the information provided. You, on the other hand, quickly assumed the info to be false simply because it's not anti-bush.
Why are liberals who form opinions based on news considered well informed, while conservatives are lemmings?

I heard the tape of her quote. She says "un-American".

Sorry to ruin your day with facts.

Cav, 2 wrongs don't make a right. Maybe ****** should've brought out his dueling pistols and settled it they way the politicians of old did. Lord knows, if he would've said something like that 200 years ago they would've, but this isn't about Cheney and what he said is it? Being able to disiminate the 2 people and the context of what they said is left to the messengers. 200 years ago the Ketchup Queen would've been buggy whipped in public for opening her mouth about matters that don't concern a women's intituition. We don't live 200 years ago. Instead we live in a digital age where pixilated images are broadcasted to us in real time with few commercial interruptions. I encourage you to watch the video as well. I didn't see any wrongdoing on the reporter's part. He was offering an out, or a chance to clarify the statements that were made. Instead I witnessed a rash immature elitist lose her cool when confronted with words that came out of her mouth. She tried to manipulate the situation and came at the reporter and tried to blame him for her words.

i did. i believe she was talking to a reporter which is completely different then what she said during a speech. any contact witha almost any reporter is always adversarial.

how do you feel knowing all your kids died in the fire.

how are you handeling your husband's execution last night.

did you mean to drown your kids in the bathtub.

DMV: i did watch the video. and i read the news story from the paper -- apparently the reporter accused of her of saying the procedings were "unamerican activities." that IS not what she said, and she took umbrage to her words being taken out of context.

also, apparently this reporter had been pounding away at the kerry family in some pretty nasty ways.

did she use the word "unamerican?" yes.

she should not have denied that part.

however, i've got a temper on me, and no matter how well-spoken i may be when i unleash it, i do know it's possible to have words fly out of my mouth in the wrong order or get flummoxed somehow and say words i truly did not mean in the heat of the moment.

i don't doubt that she meant to tell said reporter to "shove it," and in her shoes, i'd probably do the same. i do doubt, though, that she meant to deny using the word "unamerican" -- or at least i will be gracious enough to allow that she might have not said her complete thought ("i did not say unamerican activities" shortened to "i did not say unamerican...").

it's sad to see how some folks will have every possible excuse in the book for what their favorite pols do but will then turn around and fillet, insult, name-call and demonize others.

i'm not a bush fan by far, but i respect the office of the presidency enough not to mouth off and belittle the man for every "iffy" moment he has -- ditto with the first lady.

i'm also amazed at those who can applaud anne coulter -- one of the "bitchiest" (if we must use the term) and venemous women around -- and then point fingers at heinz-kerry for saying "shove it," which is certainly more genteel than much of what has come flying out of ms. coulter. yet, heinz-kerry is a "bitch" and ms. coulter gets a "thatta girl!" thumbs up.

sorry, but i'd like to see a little civility from those who point fingers and vilify others before i can take their venom for more than what it is -- pure pissiness.

jon -- comparing heinz-kerry to ms. coulter, who has said worse things? which woman has used more venomous language? which woman does so on a regular basis?

heinz-kerry says one "shove it."
coulter has said so much more and so much more frequently -- but where's the criticism? where are the right-wingers calling HER a "bitch?"

"unamerican activities." ?!? That's the rant that she ran up to the guy and CLAIMED he said! Turn up the speakers and listen to what he really said. Take a look at his body language. He's calm and looking for a legit answer to his question. In comparisson, she's rattled, edgy and appears like a rat backed into a corner! He didn't burn their kids or claim they ate them either. Does the truth in reality affect people so much when they see people they adore act like buffoons? Must be, because I KNOW what I saw, and I KNOW what I heard.

The left wingers call Ann Coulter a bitch all the time, and she is one hell of an agressive bitch, but not nearly as bad as Mrs Kerry!

i prefer it that way.

damn cavallo you must be really old. I think the term bitch has been around for eons. I also think it has been applied to some women for eons.

Now the term gentleman I believe is quite archaic and I am not sure it can be applied to very many these days.

Anne Coulter is a bitch.
Does that statement make Heinz/Kerry less of a bitch?

Coulter makes her living creating shock value because she's not terribly talented otherwise.

Ms. Heinz/Kerry speaks her mind.
For that I applaud. I do like her style despite the substance.
But to deny is simply her husband rubbing off on her.

Cavallo

tailgater -- that's more to the heart of the matter. thank you. i'd personally rather get to the substance of things rather than talk about who the bigger "bitch" is. others' mileage may vary.

charlie -- you're free to call her any name you choose. i see it as more a reflection on the name-caller, though, if that's the sum of your criticism.

i don't care to defend this woman's actions. imo, they're indefensible. however, i do care to get the facts straight before making a judgment of anyone.

it seems to me that she thought the reporter was accusing her of saying something she didn't say -- that SNIPPET of "interview" did NOT show the entire sequence of questions or events; the written article by the paper itself clarifies it differently and claims that the reporter asked about how the procedings here were "unamerican activities."

however, i think it was absolutely in poor taste for her to go out of her way to stomp over to the reporter and tell him to "shove it." again, it reflects more negatively on her for resorting to such dumb-a$$ actions and poor choice of words.

It was even poorer (not a proper use of the term) taste for the "speechwriter" or "writers" who put together the diatribe she spoke last nite at the Convention.

Tailgater, you are so right about Ann Coulter, as she makes her living being a hard ass bitch!

What a joke, defending Theresa, I got a kick out of the reporter who said, "I was expecting her to break out in Don't Cry for me Argentina" during her speech!
