I think Drafter said you were banned.

That may well be true, but I'm not certain, because it's almost 25 years ago. I know that I had a serious discussion with Keith Meier, the former owner of C.I. and C.Bid, who after his non-compete clause was over, following the sale of C.I. and C.Bid, began another very successful internet retail cigar venture. I was critical of some of the ethics displayed by one of his employees. I had written a review, on this forum, of an early release of Rocky Patel's Old World Reserve. The employee phoned me and said that C.I. had not been able to acquire the cigar because it was for "brick and mortars" only, not to be sold via catalog, mail, or internet. Just for his personal sampling, he'd like to sample the cigar. I said I'd be happy to send him a couple. "No, Steve, I don't want to impose on your generosity. I'll phone the shop where you bought yours, and buy a couple of singles." The owner of the shop was a close friend, former U.S. Marine, and a wonderful person. I gave the employee the name of my friend's store. He phoned the store, told my friend that he'd spoken with me, and that this would be personal and confidential; nothing to do with C.I./CBid. He placed an order for a couple of OWR singles, which were delivered by mail. Soon after, my friend was told by Rocky himself that a massive national retailer had complained that he was selling OWR over the internet, in violation of the RP agreement, and that he would no longer be selling RP product.
In a forum post, I later detailed what I thought was a dirty trick. A few hours after the post appeared, it was deleted, but not by me. I do not recall being banned, but I did cease to post on the CBid forum and closed my account.
