You are right Charlie. But not with Shampoo. He can just use regular soap.

Hard water. . .

. . . get a water softener. . . .

. . . or switch, and use the vaseline on your head, and the shampoo wherever you were using the vaseline. . .

Actually chippy, you are doing yourself a favor. Your body has natural cleansing abilities. If you can get over the first couple of months (when your head overcompensates for all of the natural oils you have stripped off of our scalp from using shampoo) you will actually have cleaner hair than any of us. We use shampoo because we think we have to, and because after a few days, we feel gross, but if you leave your hair shampoo free for a few days, it will become very soft and silky (boy do I sound like a woman)

Ever heard of ****? No, not jizmnasium......

Just spit it into your hand and massage it into your scalp.

I haven't used shampoo in years. I have been using Dr Bronners Peppermint soap. It does a great job, and unless you over do it, leaves the natural oils of your scalp, in place. Of course the DEA wanted to ban hemp products, but lost in court. Thank God.

P.S. Bronners also has a Eucalyptus soap, that is a decent natural bug repellant if you are camping.

Was just reading up on that Dr. Bronner's. This was particularily interesting...

"Can be used as soap, shampoo, mouthwash, or for shaving"

Hmmmm...

I used something similar to that when I backpacked in Europe. It was great, although I refused to use it as toothpaste. Washed my hair, face, etc. then would use it to hand wash my clothes in the sink. Good stuff. Great for camping, too.

Muay...everything is o.k. I think I am just the last conservative hippie in the world....but I never realized how womanly a hippie man can sound 🙂

I have wanted to stop using shampoo for years, but my wife won't let me. She says my head is too greasy as it is. I told her again last night that I was going to stop and she said, if this is what staring at the computer screen on these cigars boards will do to you....I'm going to start taking your cigars away. Needless to say....I rinse and repeated this morning.

Can't we get back to cello on or off discussions?
