no Rick, not crazy.....just sad, pathetic, imbeciles that refuse to accept that there is a problem, and think the only way to solve it is by the introduction of bigger guns.

What a scary article, arm teachers? I cannot even imagine such a thing....yes, some folks are just plain nuts! I think the NRA gets crazier every time I see something like this!

Note to myself, agreement with Rick and Adroomi again, also scary thought! LMAO

ROFL. I think I'm starting to agree with all 3 of ya, and that is DA*N scary...:-)

Then, again, in a past life I actually was a teacher, tho not of high school. If I had to teach H.S. now, I'd probably be packin' if I could get away with it.

I happen to be a pretty good shot with the weapons I own. But, that said...

Yes, Rick, these people are friggin CRAZY!

I think it's a damn good idea as long as the teachers are trained and qualify with a firearm and pass any required mental evaluation tests. I'm not saying to make it mandatory for all teachers to carry a firearm, just those that want to carry.

Think about this, these crazies come into school with two purposes, one to kill as many teachers and students that they can and two to kill themselves. Arming the teachers at the very least might reduce the number of deaths.

(Thinking to self)...

Alright, today is the day...

I've planned it for a long time, I'm going to go to school today and I will kill as many students as I can...

-list of names....... yep, got that.

-suicide note....... yep, got that.

-guns............... waiting on me at school.

Have they learned nothing from that court incedent last 2 weeks ago in Atlanta??? I may disagree with Adroomi about everything, but America has some of the dumbest SOB's this world can offer and unfortunately some of them are in the position to make decisions.

....reflecting back on that courtroom incident makes a lot of sense. Good point.

Yo countryboy83:

It is fact that all the crazies came into school armed and ready to kill with hand guns, shotguns, and explosives.

The courtroom "incident" as you say, well let me see hmmm, they had a 6'1" 230lb. man with unshackled legs and handcuffed in front guarded by a small woman with a holstered firearm. In his next appearence in court his legs were shackled and handcuffed in front and he was guarded by "19" nineteen male guards. Had his legs been shackled and had there been two male guards guarding him the first time the "incident" might not of happened.

and you don't think that Mrs. Wilson the 120 pound economics teacher carrying a magnum has anything to worry about when the 280 pound senior with a bad temper gets a little flustered????

Your reply:

"and you don't think that Mrs. Wilson the 120 pound economics teacher carrying a magnum has anything to worry about when the 280 pound senior with a bad temper gets a little flustered????"

My retort:

I talk fact and you talk hypothetical. Well I'll play, suppose Mrs. Willson is also a 4th degree black belt in karate and the 280lb senior suffers from asthma.

Sorry jon,

Country's hypothetical makes a lot more sense than your hypothetical.

Later.....Erik

continuing with the hypothetical.....

tell the parents of the daughter that the bad tempered boy killed that Mrs. Wilson is a 4th degree black belt.

"continuing with the hypothetical.....

tell the parents of the daughter that the bad tempered boy killed that Mrs. Wilson is a 4th degree black belt"

Going back to "FACTUAL"...

That is exactly what they had to do to seven pairs of parents after the last massacre, didn't they.

Scratch out "last" and replace with "latest".

What happens when the teacher snaps and empties a 30 round clip into his sophmore English Lit. class?

Put a gun in a teachers desk, and I'll pay for a private school. Put guns in private schools, and I'll pay for a private school in Australia.......probably get a better education there anyway, so that's a thought, regardless.

Yo adroomi:

Your philosophy in any discussions is that anything we do in America is done better in other (mostly communistic) countries. Then answer this question, why is America the strongest of all countries and the only country that (as CNN put it) sows the seeds of freedom?

"What happens when the teacher snaps and empties a 30 round clip into his sophmore English Lit. class? "

And what's to stop that teacher from bringing in a weapon on her on?

Who said America is the strongest of all countries?

In regards to the only country that sows the seeds of freedom, are you actually going to be so arrogant as to pull that "America=Freedom" stuff out of your hat?

What do you know about freedom in other countries? Do me a favor, go tell that to an Englishman, or an Aussie, or a German, or French, or Thai, or Japanese, or Canadian, or New Zealander, or any other of the free countries in the world.
