had my 28 week appt last week and both sterling and I are fine. He's still anti technology so the dr had to give me an ultrasound ugh but Sterling is fine and today I had to go for a rhogram shot (something pregnant women have to get when they are rh- and the daddy is rh + and I have to get one after Sterling is born too - and had to get another 3hr gestational diabetes test - they are wayyyyyyyy tooooooo longgggggg but one good thing while I was waiting I got to see my tummy move when Sterling moved/kicked. The little one was moving around a lot because I had to fast so hadn't had anything to eat since 8pm last night so he wasn't happy lol. But I passed that and won't have to do another one yayayayayay LOL - my next appt is at 31 weeks on may 3rd. I have an absessed tooth and am having that pulled on may 2nd blahhh then on the 10th of may I have my breastfeeding class and then on the 11th I start my six week lamaze class and then on the 16th its my bday so May is going to be a busy month 🙂 Thanks for listening to my rambling and caring! hugss

estimated due date is July 4th but somehow I have a feeling Sterling is going to come early, but that's just a feeling I have, he seems to be on target for July 4th but being my first who knows - he could come early, late or right on time.

God bless you and CW, Liz.

Don't worry (easy for me to say) but the "ordeal" will be over before you know it.

Then the real fun starts, ie, sleepless nights, doctor visits, playing with the vcr, etc. LOL!

BTW, BREAST FEEDING classes???!!!

I thought you just had to cast & wait...LOL!

lol bloody - well I guess these days breastfeeding is an art form and you need instructions on how to do it properly 🙂 heck I'll take all the help I can get, as the due date approaches first time mommy nerves are starting to hit overdrive. Reading the books, helps but also makes the nerves even worse - double edged sword type thing. So many things that you have to learn and deal with and it just seems so overwhelming. Other mommies tell me that us first time mommies think we won't know what to do but it's instinctual - and I'm thinking I sure the heck hope it is or poor Sterling lol. I just can't wait for him to get here so I can see him and hold him and just treasure him even more than I do now 🙂

Don't worry Liz, it does come naturally. I have 2 girls and even though my oldest is now pregnant herself (20 weeks), I still remember. Labor sucks but soon after you forget how bad it was. Most women swear that they won't ever do it again, but they do. When you hold that beautiful baby in your arms, it is all worth it.

Breastfeeding class is a new thing. Probably not a bad idea since it can be very frustrating. And since my kids got teeth at 2 months old, it would have been nice to know what to do.

Good luck. My best advice I can give you is to ALWAYS trust your instincts. If you think there is something that doesn't seem right, fight for it. Sometimes doctors act like women (especially first time moms) don't know what they are talking about. There was a problem with my daughter and it took months before they would believe me. In the end (after a minor surgery) everything was ok but it is so upsetting when you know in your heart that something is wrong and they won't listen.

I am sure you have lots of friends but if you ever want to talk you can email me at laurenannpatrick at aol.

Yeah... a class for breast feeding? It's a boy for cryin' out loud. Just bare the breast and watch that little bugger go for it!

Ya know... breast feeding is the leading cause for saggy boobs...

Just supplying information is all.

LOL. You are right about the boy thing MAC. I guess being a boob man starts from birth. 🙂

Hmmmm, so I guess it is a good thing my kids got teeth early after all.

Glad to hear all is good Liz. I think the BOTL/SOTL don't have any problem with you rambling on here.

Keep up the good work,

LMAO @ uncle Shawn - as for the saggy boobs don't think CW will care if they are saggy or not 😛 and it don't take much to prop em up when he needs them - yeah I know TMI lol

cigarbidwidow - one can never ever have too many friends - online or in reals - and to be honest - I got one friend here in Norfolk, she's the one going with me to lamaze classes - my other friend is in TX with her mom during her pregnancy cuz she has diabetes and was having some issues and with a 2yr old she wanted to be with someone in case something happened and a third friend deserted me 😞 on the real time front I can count them on one hand in this area anyways. Got lots of online friends, but most aren't anywhere near me, but they are a support system which I am very grateful for! And yes, even now with being pregnant everyone says go by what you feel - if you feel something isn't quite right then call your doctor and ask, that is what they are there for, always err on the side of caution.

Thanks everyone for the support! Means a lot to me and CW and of course Sterling! 🙂 hugsssss

Howdy,

glad to hear all is well. We have a 7 month old, so we (I was along for the ride) just went thru the whole pregnancy thing.

Also glad that your diabetes test was negative. My wife had gestational diabetes with both pregnancies, and it's no fun. When did you take the first test?

My wife's OBGYN didn't catch the diabetes until the second tri-mester with the first kid. He was 10lbs and 3 ounces, and 23.5 inches long. HUGE!! Thank god for c-sections.

Good luck, and keep up the good work,

jcwbnimble.

I still don't understand? Thought this board was for sharing and I would prefer to read what has been said on this thread than the majority of the political bs that runs amuck or other things that are spewed by a few on these boards. All I can suggest is that when I put up updates that you skip them if things like what you read embarrass you or make you feel uncomfortable.

Excuse me....excuse me....

Please excuse John hay Cigars's, he is still suffering from "Cigar Shock" from all the "SMOKE" swirling around his head at CigarFest 2005 & After Fest. !!!!!

He really is a nice person. Just for you Lis, I will find him and issue some "stogiepa slap's" this may snap him out of "Cigar Shock". If not I will issue a "barrage of Judge Ram slap's"
