It appears I have a preference for young people over old people...

I took the young vs old survey and it said so.

I guess at 35, that would make sense... i'm still kind of young.

I said KIND OF you wise-asses, so don't go there!

Ohh that looks interesting. Unfortunatly I don't have flash at work so I will take the test tonight when I get home.

I am sure that is will show that I am a bigeot (sp?) or something. Should be interesting.

And I am sure everyone will lean towards a certain race, gender, or age group. It is normal for someone to feel most comfortable around people they are used to. I for example feel the most comfortable around the college educated middle class. The reason being is I am normally around those people and have been all my life.

Maybe you could tell me what makes PBS a Left Wing broadcasting network. I have watched PBS since I was a child and my children watch it.

Nathan,

I read about it in "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell. His mother is Jamaican, and he was surprised that it showed he was racist, too. The test measures a subconscious response, and it turns out that roughly 50% of black people who have taken the test show a preference for white people. It has a lot to do with our society. You might actually test differently if you just finished watching a good movie that you liked that portrayed admirable black people as the heroes and despicable white people as the villains, or if you simply looked at pictures of some of the black people you really respect before taking the test. The point isn't to feel guilty about favoring white people in this test (it wouldn't be good to favor black people, either), but to understand that your subconscious works that way and take that into account when dealing with others.

Interesting book, interesting test.

I am a right wing republican...I watch more PBS than probably any other station other than Comedy Central and Baseball games. PBS has quality television almost all day long. They teach good values to children in the morning and while yes there are some left wing programs, I know how to operate my remote control. I for one am not willing to give up on Masterpiece theater, English Comedies, Nova, Scientific Discoveries (I think that's the name with ALan Alda), the Ken Burns stuff etc, not to mention Austin City Limits, on Stage, and the rest of the live music. Most of it is produced better than what I get on the history channel or discovery because the producers are selling it as a work of flim and not as a tool to drive sales. I can't really think of any right wing shows on PBS, but then again, I can only think of a few left wing shows (almost anything with Bill Moyers, Jim Lehrer etc.) NPR is the same way...I don't like NPR news because I think they have an even bigger left wing bias than CNN, but they have opera, classical music, occasionally Jazz, they profile authors, click and clack the car guys, and best of all, Prarie Home Companion which I never miss.

Is my tax money going to left wing shows? Yes, but so is my donated right wing money.

I am more inclined to like white people I guess. Only slightly though according to the test. That test was hard! They got you used to doing it one way then bam they switch it around.

Onfortunatly I didn't have the chance to do the other tests. I probably will tonight.

I like PBS, now NPR is another thing! PBS offers a variety of shows and programming, and my wife and I are supporters by giving money annually!
