Chico, CA home of Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and one of the biggest party schools in the nation. I've lived all over the world, but keep coming back here. As soon as I get my teaching credential (I graduate in two weeks, but California is no longer satisfied with eight years of college, they give you a temporary teaching credential for two years before you get the real one) I want to get out of the state for awhile, I'm thinking Portland, I hear they have good beer there.

Phoenix, Arizona where we measure RH in single digits, and the tourist phrase "but it's a dry heat" is quickly countered with "so's your oven -- try sticking your head in there."

Glendora CA, pride of the foothills.

Lived in the San Gabriel valley all my life. I love So. CA and all its miriad of places to see, but can't stand the fact that it takes an hour to move 20 miles on the freeways these days.

Hey Lukin, Oreegon is beautiful, just don't tell them your from CA. They hate us up there for driving up the price of their real estate. I've spent some time in So. Oreegon (Medford and Ashland), and you can't beat it.

My brother and Mother in law live in Glendora. I was born in Duarte and lived in Covina/BP/Azusa etc until I was 13. Moved to OC after that.

What's up Uncleb?

What's the word from the OC? Besides the Anaheim Angels of Los Angeles. Can they come up with a more lame name?

(end threadjack)

Peace,

I'm another San Gabriel Valley resident. Grew up in San Gabriel, currently live in Arcadia and work in Pasadena. For all its problems, I love this area and plan to live here for many years to come. I have beach, desert, and mountains all a close drive away. Can't beat it!
