I can't believe what I've been seeing more and more lately! A pack of wolves devouring one of their own. I am so very tired of the name calling and the bickering. When I view the postings I sometimes feel like I’m back in grade school with the bullies beating up the new kids or the kids that don’t belong to the ‘in’ crowd. We're not the FOGs and the FNGs, we're all lovers of the leaf!

It starts with slamming people new to our forum asking simple questions to ‘test the water.’ Is this a place they want to be, where a simple question leads to their humiliation? Would each of you have stayed if the pack had savaged you like I see happening on this forum?

It continues with bickering and name calling over politics. This is just what the politicians want. We attack each other and pay no attention to them. Sleight of hand better than any magician!

It ends with nasty, vicious comments because others make posts that don’t look like your post. Good Heavens!! It may be tough to read, but do we really need to continually bring it up and beat up the guys who do it? Goes back to picking on the kid who didn’t dress ‘cool,’ doesn’t it?

I believe we should respond to each other just as we would if they were sitting next to us at a big friggin herf! After all, we’re here for the love of the leaf, aren’t we? Each one of you is kind and giving and helpful so lets stop the fighting and get back to the real reason we’re here!

I for one like the terms FOG and FNG. 'Newbie' has been beaten into the ground all over the internet that I now hate that term. Saying "Hi guys. I'm a FNG" is a welcome change.

Anyway, it seems that the storms have cooled down a bit. Except for 1 or 2 posts, you know, the arguements that generate 50+ posts, I thought the commeradery(sp?) was coming back.

Maybe the Post of Humiliation is in order.

Post the names of the offenders on a list for all to see, along with a link to their offense.

Leave the offenders name for one month for all to see.

And who determines who will go on the list?

Is all that I was saying! Doesn't make sense to beat someone up for doing the same things you continue to do ten times worse. The people with real class are the ones that put an end to it.

I personally would not like to see a list. I think that all of us can see who is out of line and who isn't. We aren't in grade school so there isn't a need to "put their names up on the board" so to speak.

David, you don't have to be bad to get what you want. But we definitely need to put the kids in bed first (and turn the heat up a little more--it is cold in PA today).
