Hey guys and dolls,

I have wanted to get my hands on one of these sticks for along time, I am from the houston area and have a hard time finding X's at all but I want to see what all the hype is about. Also I know that b/c of the demand that when i do find them they will rape me on the price I do not want the clerk to screw me and hand me the KY so, what is a fair price i should expect to pay if i ever find them. Also if you know of any stores around houston that might have em let me know.

Thanks for the help,

DAN (the new guy)

Don't know about Houston, but The Humidor in San Antonio (on San Pedro s. of North Star Mall) often has them for wat seems like a reasonable price ($10-$15). You could call them and they'll ship.

Slim, is there anything cigar related you don't know? You are fast becoming a demi-god in my pantheon of cigar dieties.

There is much I don't know, and I still have a lot to learn.

But, I no matter what it is that interests me, I gather and assimilate as much information about it as I can. With me, it's all or nothing ... and if I'm going to invest the money and energy into it, I give it all that I am capable of giving.

Cigars are a passion with me, and whenever you are passionate about something, your mind will take you places you never thought possible ...

Been about 4 yrs since I've had an Opus X. From what I remember, it was excellent. Maybe it's time to try one again.

aren't those prices excluding local taxes?

Exactly ... they are nothing more than what the Fuentes claim is the 'Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price' for their cigars ...

That doesn't include local/state taxes, overhead/mark-up and whatever the tobacconist thinks he can gouge you for the rarity of the cigar.

It's all about supply and demand ...

Speaking of OPUS X ... this is a link to some very rare (one of a kind) novelty cigars made by Carlito for one of his past auctions ...

CFCF Auction

If I'm not mistaken, I believe 'The Twin Towers' sold for around $7,000 ... and all the procees of this particular auction went to the families of 9/11.

dhofer22,
Like bullwinkle said, "The Smoke Inn" on Jones rd. They get Opus about 2 or 3 times a year. I don't think they have any available at the moment. Go ahead and shop there, get introduced, they'll put you on the mailing list and notify you when something special comes in. Become a regular and a few more things may become available to you. Good luck.

Great Links Slim!

What kind of demented moron would make a cigars in the shape of the twin towers with an airplane sticking out of the side of it. This is the most moronic thing I've ever seen. It probably sold to some frigging arab who has it set up as a shrine. In posting this link you have shrunk to an asinine low that I didn't think you were capaple of.
