I posted on the pic post re: 'real cuban cigars' already that I loved my Fuente Gran Reserva.

Went on a weekend getaway and brought the whole damned humidor with me...

I smoked a RyJ Cedros De Luxe No. 2 (is that the right name?) on the patio of a club Friday night. YUCK!

Did I say YUCK!? It was gross. Patuie! Had to move on to my bland little Sportsmen's Reserve to get the funk outta my mouth.

Then, Saturday night, I smoked my Fuente that was a gift and fell in love with it! It was so tasty and smoothe...mmmmm!

I seem to have noticed a licorice taste. Have any of you experienced that 'flavor'?

Are these very expensive? What should I expect?

I have tasted licorice smoking an Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Maduro. I consider it a good flavor. IMO the Fuente lines are overpriced. Because of that, I don't smoke many. I am thrifty. You may call me cheap if it pleases you.

Rick, when I posted the riddle, it was just playing around with an old joke, and I didn't think it had an answer, like Lewis Carroll's "Why is a raven like a writing desk?"

However, as I was on my patio tonight finishing an Exquisito after dining on steak accompanied by a rather nice Australian Shiraz, I thought of a word to complete the answer. What do you think?:

anise

a partagas series s exquisito? one of my favorites.

i can't put anise in the equation. "she holds it by the herb"

i was thinking "by the lic" or

"by the way she looks up into your eyes" or

"by the gentile vacuum" (it is spelled correctly)

"Patuie?" I have a bland little sportsman too, but it's no good for getting a bad taste out of your mouth. In fact I think it's been accused of being the culprit more than once.

The visual of Rick and Steve singing this song together is not pleasant.

Whipple Road in Union City? ... Hell, that's not all that far from me ... I didn't know that.

I'll swing by and have a word with them in person ... that'll get quickly to the bottom of it

Steve while your down there see if you can get them to wrape the red vines in a maduro wraper. They might taste better.
