Things look like they are starting to come together on the defense... maybe they can save this season after all.

One name says it all: ****** Vermeil. He did it in St. Louis and now he's gonna do it in K.C. Not this year though. It's the year of the Pack!

X ... You may be right. The Pack looks pretty good this year but the Chiefs did all right in beating the Raiders. Just love Holmes running the ball... seems to have a little Marcus Allen in him with the way he waits for his blocks to open holes.
Was also happy to see Marcus nominated for the HOF this year. Hope he makes it on his first ballot and goes in as a Chief... I think he will!

Interesting thought above about ****** Vermeil ... I've always been a keen observer of the coaches as well as the players ... it's fascinating what an effect one coach can have compared to another at the professional level where "teaching" is not the factor it is at the amateur level but where being able to "motivate" is critical.

****** is one of only 4 guys that've coached two different teams to Super Bowl wins ...he's been named the "Coach of the Year" on four levels: HS, JC, NCAA Div I and the NFL ... and he's the only coach to have coached both a Rose Bowl and a Super Bowl winner.

Yeah, he might have an impact at Kansas City ...

Go Chiefs!!!!! I really would like to see some defense help out the great offense they have!!!! Maybe we can turn this into a 10-6 or 11-5 season-Dreaming, yes, but anything is possible!!!!!!

Marcus Allen has said he would go into the Hall of Fame as a Chief, since Al Davis and gang treated him the way they did!!!

The last game was the 87th time the two teams (Chiefs and Raiders) have played each other with the record now Kansas City 43 wins Oakland 42 and two (2) ties! This is truly one of the great rivalries in sports!

It is baseball season (my favorite sport) but I will say one thing, the Chiefs offense will make more noise than any other offense in NFL, now if Guenther Cunningham (Defensive CoOrdinator) can bring the defense together "they could go (as Chris Berman says)all the way"!
