By chance is your first name "Matthew"? If so, they got here about a week ago. It's hard to distinguish who is who when I see board names and it's not with the box. I got a few boxes last week from a few people. Only recognized 2 of the 3 names. Think I posted the thanks on "Flags for Sticks" thread.
I'm always down for a Humi, but jsut cedar would probably be easier to get/ship/ I've got alot of sticks. I've got them spread between 6 different containers. 1 Humi, 4 Herf's, and 2 large ammo cans. Just cedar would be good so I can just put a piece in with them. Not necessarrily line the cans. I'm not picky....just want to take the best care of these I can. Don't ant to embarrass myself when i send them out and there's something wrong with them. been doing pretty good so far, but almost a full time job...LOL! I enjoy it though. It's good to get the gratitude from those who get them. I wish there were some way to accurately protray it to youall who are supporting ME in supporting them. I'm basically the "middle man". I'll tkae it though. It's worth it to me. I did get some pics back from the SOF boys I've been dropping to. They absolutely loved the "treat" and had a 4th of July celebration with them. Problem is the files are SO big. I can't get them to upload anywhere. They're stuck on my email for now...until I fgure it out.

Yes, I'm Matthew. One of these days I'm going to learn to sign my board name to the letters. What can you expect from a old dumb-a** Sergeant, right? 🇨🇮

Let me see what I can do about some proper storage for you. Way back in the jurassic when I got married as an E-3, my platoon gave me a 40 mike mike can full of MRE coffee, creamer, peanut butter, and shelf stable bread so we could eat until my married pay caught up with us as my new $800 a month rent was more than I made at the time. Though I tell that partly as gratitude for a bunch of guys who had no coffee or peanut butter in the field for about a year, more importantly now it means I have the dimensions to cut-to-fit. If it doesn't work out for whatever reason, I'll send young real life humidor as long as you promise to put it to good use.

Good hunting Marine.

I talked to my buddies still over there and you are more than welcome to go pick up my old humi I used while I was over there. Just talk to a guy named Justin or Chris (they are both Latent print experts that work in the biometrics lab) Let them know you are here to pick up the old humi that I had with the cigar bands on it. its a 40MM ammo can and it should still have all the cedar in there and a bunch of humi pillows that the general sent me.

as for the pictures, you can send them to me on CD with your box and I can post them up for you. Im heading to the PO today so I will be sending out your coffee today (Hopefully, if they are not stupid about the whole liquid thing)

Lets seeeee. If you are on the boardwalk head over to the Chilies and walk to the corner of the main road and cross it, you will be walking towards where the bazarr is, the NATO gym will be behind you on your right and the education center will be on your left. keep walking straight and you will see a bunch of power generators on your right and then on the left will be the HQ bldg with all the flags, then there is the Map depot. Make a left when you pass the map dept and you will see the CEXC buildings. there will be a two story building on your left with catwalks on the outside and another two story building with a big parachute attached to it. just head to the two story building with the catwalks on the outside. The first floor is where you can find Justin or Chris. I will find out a phone number for you if ya want as well. If not you can just stop by, they work 24/7 so someone will always be there. I will send a message to have them have it ready for you to pick up. If you have any troubles let me know.

Too bad i'm still not out there, we could herf every damn day lol sometimes I miss KAF, it was a fun place, becides all the stupid rocket mortars. Funny story, when I was on my way to fly out on a blackhawk to one of the COPs in the middle of nowhere, the alarm went off so we had to take cover, the rocket hit about 50M away from where I was sitting in the chopper seat! hit a bunker so it was not a big deal but scared the shat out of me lol

I got it....I know exactly where that is. Pass it every morning on my way to Timmy Horton's for coffee. I won't miss that damn alarm when I leave. I have a "giant voice" right outside my office. I'm gonna stop by the boardwalk this afternoon to grab your end. Got VERY busy yesterday and just couldn't get away from here until about 9:30. Shop was closed by the time I got there. Should be able to grab you about 10 or so boxes.

Oh and I guess there are some cigars left over that no one smoked after I left from what my buddy said, so you are more than welcome to snag whatever you want from there. The only thing I ask is you post a pic of what it looks like now, I want to see if the cigar bands got finished or how much is left to do on it.

I haven't gotten over there yet. Been a hectic couple of days and keep forgetting when I'm on my way back to the mods. I'm punching early today so I'll swing by there today.
