But, for sheer hilarity, see The Return of The Living Dead! I highly suggest seeing this spoof. The see Shaun of The Dead; #2 on my list of Zombie movies...
For reference, see 28 Weeks Later (as per DMV comment). There were some pretty fast moving Zombies in that movie... That is what made it more unsettling; too see them run down a "healthy human"!

+1...I mean, no zombie is cooler than the other, they ALL want you dead, or zombie-fied.
Whack 'em before they whack you, I say...🇨🇮
I carry a .45 for zombies and I think with that with a 230 HP round DP'ing is a waste of ammo. One to the head stops 'em dead. (i know they are already dead but you know what I mean.)
.357 stops them with one round, .38 not as fast as a 9 so i'd DP with my .38, 9mm double tap every time, those rounds move too fast and pass right through them.
Shotguns? Birdshot pisses them off, its gotta be 4's or better to stop them in their tracks.
Any rifle round .223 and higher is good at any distance due to the damage they cause, much faster then a 9 so they stop them without DP'ing.

185 grain hollow points outta my H&K .40
Both double taps center mass in the noggin.
Yes shotgun is one round loaded with buckshot. But in a pinch bird shot can be converted to "cut shot" an old depression era trick.
And then make sure its needed before you do.
^ no nervous system, nothing should happen is my guess.
