Good job, Mikey! That makes those of us "have nots" very envious. Now, we have to become "haves".

Man your's and FGM's conversions look so nice.

I just inherited my Grandmas 90 year old china cabinet, do you think she would roll over in her grave if she knew I did something like that to her cabinet?

Real problem is its volume would exceed what you have there and trust me I will/would never have enough smokes to fill it. The useable area is at least 2 1/2 by 5 feet. If it was smaller like FGM's clock body I would do it.

I wouldnt do it to your Grandmas 90 year old china cabinet, there are too many cabinets out there for sale that would work great.

We have an old clock that gets passed to the oldest grandson, it's in my possession, I am the oldest grandson and it will get passed to my oldest grandson. This was started by my Great-Great Grandfather. It's a pretty cool looking Seth Thomas Mantle clock.

No I won't either but it was fun to contemplate for a bit, my Dads entire family would kill me if I did that to it as I was the "chosen" one to recieve it. I also got the old homestead cuckoo clock that is older then the cabinet, both will stay in the family and my son will have first "dibs" on them.

Yup!

Well done mikey. The cabinet looks FANTASTIC!

Must be nice to finally be able to sift thru your singles without making a mess.

How tall is that thing anyway?

It's 6 feet tall, 12 inches deep, 19 inches wide and 48 inches are the ID of the humidor part. The bottom section is 19X12X20. I have the cedar to line it too, just havent done it yet. It will be a good place to stash/age more cigars, not like I need more but you know how it goes. You fill up the space you have.

Very nice Mikey!!! There IS definitely something calming about working on a woodshop project that is soothing to the senses and then there's the sense of accomplishment that comes with it when it's finished. I made my F-in Law a custom cherry gun cabinet some years back that would've made a great humi, but he doesn't keep that many on hand and now only chews on them vs. smokin em.

Nice size.

Mine is a little deeper and a little wider and probably about the same size height wise.

Any thoughts about building cubby holes/drawers? Seems like a great way to organize your singles! Course you might just like having them all laid out.

Using the bottom section to age sounds like a great idea! Just make sure you get air circulation in there too...

Looks great! I have thought about doing this to a gun cabinet or Grandfather clock if I can find a suitable one. Where did you get the Spanish cedar for the project?
