What say you?

Perhaps he didn't want Obama to rape him.

Free association is the definition of American. Of course that's lost on people like you.

This is a modern thing, athletes haven't been visiting presidents for ever. And he's not the first to decline the offer. I remember an athlete refused to visit 43.

I think it's rather petty, but in no way is it un-american.

Thomas posted on Facebook that he is not against the current POTUS, but rather is disenchanted with the Federal Government in general, naming both the Republicans and the Democrats as being at fault.

I would surely go..

I have always wanted to meet Chewbaca,,,

Gotta hand it to Tomas, he's got the courage of his conviction.

I have never been invited to an African American's home to eat .Another reason I'd go...

Yeah, he should have been shackled and dragged in there and forced to be somewhere he didn't want to be, now that is liberty at it's best.

It meant nothing, it was a choice he made. I know you would jump at the chance but some have principles and stand by them.

Then you would get to see if it is the camera that makes her can look that huge.

Wasn't he a basketball player in college, I think playing for Florida? He was applauded for his courage.

Oh how times they are a changin.

Yes, I think it's un-American. First he's abandoning his team. Making a political statement when none is warrented. Obama or any President doesn't ask if the athlete voted for them and making a respectful gesture and keeping with the tradition of honoring sports champions. Besides, it's the conservative position to 'shut up and sing' right? In this case it's shut up and play. I think any athlete whether it's one that refuses to go to the white house no matter who is president is a selfish assh*le. But like I said, he's free to associate with anyone he wants, I never said otherwise. It's just a ****** move.

And he has a tea party sticker on his helmet.

Listen, I remember being told that criticizing the president in a time of war was un-american. I and Time as a citizen can and should be able to say what they want, no problem. Making this statement when the team is receiving an honor would be appropriate if we had a dictator and I would applaud that. Here though we have an elected President who can and will leave office in either 1 or 5 years and he's making a celebration political and dragging his teammates into the controversy. It's boorish and childish.

Not surprising actually.

It meant nothing, it was a choice he made. I know you would jump at the chance but some have principles and stand by them.[/quote]

Wow, nice shackled strawman you made there.

Dickhead move? Sure you could say that for sure on respect to the Kenyan king and his teammates.

Un-American? Now that just shows you ignorance.
