Hey all, my name is Ben. I'm new to cigars in general and to Cigarbid.

I've been perusing the forums occasionally for the past few weeks and felt it was time to say hello!

I recently won a five pack of Blue Label B2s because they have a lot of positive reviews on CI.

But they SUCKED. Hard.

I may not have a developed palette, but they smelled awful, tasted awful, and burned awful.

Has anyone else had the same experience with these?

I know you get what you pay for, but the other 50 cent sticks I got were decent/good.

Welcome to the mad house!

I would suggest not going by any reviews or ratings as everyone has their own taste.

I have never tried those but Im sure someone around here has.

The B2s only have the single blue silk band on them.

I'm gonna stash them in the humidor and forget them and see if that helps them.

Or maybe store them with a few ACIDs, to make an infused POS... haha

Rule #1 - Never believe anything you read in the Cbid description.

Rule #2 - Don't waste your time reading the customer reviews posted by CI. Even the worse dog rockets get glowing reviews by some.

Also remember that according to Sven, PIs are one of CIs best selling cigars. That should tell you a little about the customer base that is writting those reviews.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep that in mind.

and I have a fiver of PIs on the way dammit.

I usually read reviews on a different site in addition to CI.

These B2s got all 80+ ratings and my mouth was offended lol

being the cheapskate i am, i kept smoking it hoping it would get better.. 😣

If you like smoking grass clippings mixed with hay, you'll love those PIs. Oh, and smoking dog rockets is a right of passage. I've smoked dozens upon dozens trying to find the Holy Grail. Came to the conclusion that there is no Holy Grail.

There aren't ANY bad cigars on CBID...at least not from any descriptions I've read..

Haha hopefully i'll make it through that passage quickly... lol

So far the cheapest cigar i enjoyed was a cinco vegas gold maduro for $1. the flavor was great, it just burned really lopsided.

And i think i saw one description that was not-so-good on cbid. i dont remember that brand, but the description included (paraphrased) "they aren't quite unsmokeable".

I smoked a regular blue label (not the B2) sometime in the past week. Was'n't bad. I'm new to this too so I'm trying everything I can bid on.

Yeah that's how i am... I had to get my 50 cents worth out of the darned thing.

It was very metallic tasting, and it didnt get much better the longer i smoked. I did get one puff that reminded me of the smooth, creamy taste of a CI copper label. I guess that's where i got my money's worth

lol
