Can you take 1 or 2 herfadors on a plane (NOT AS CHECK IN)...... I mean as in my carry on bag.

Everything I have seen is wish-washy and never a straight answer. I understand the lighters and all that jazz, but I wanna take my own cigars!

Even if it is 1 herfador, and I will buy when I get out there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yup, no problem. I've carried both 15 and 40 counts loaded into carry-on many, many times with zero hassles.

I'm guessing that you can also find the roots of a quadratic equation with complex coefficients, but cannot divide 81 by 9....

No cutter, they took mine at security (it was a cheep one so I didn't care).

If the herfador is metal, they may ask to open & inspect it. I went through this already. The inspector was a real cool retired NYC cop & a cigar smoker. When he saw what cigars I had in it he being a BOTL, commented that he wished his humi had them in it. I tossed him a La Aurora Ruby, which he quickly took & stuffed in his pants pocket, thanked me & I was on my way.

I got some of the TSA / DOT approved containers for my torch lighters and have not had an issue with them in CHECKED bags, you just have to hope none of the inspectors have sticky fingers. Smokes on the other hand stay with me the entire flight!!

I've flown no less than a 50 round trips since I started smoking cigars in '05. I've had a cutter in my pocket or backpack every time. I have NEVER had to give one up. I always take a Jetlite and a Bic. I've lost maybe a half dozen of the Ronsons. I've never had any problem with any herfadore - metal or plastic.

DO NOT check that in the Charleston airport, they have "sticky fingers" and will back it up with their regs, trust me.

It's too "grey/gray", so some use it to their advantage if they find one they like, and you will be left with their little "insert" from the TSA.

Agreed, cigars are no problem in either checked or carry-on,but I would not put 'em in a checked bag, for sure, and a bic lighter can as well be in either bag, safest way to go.

Wasn't it "Drop Zone" that they used a guillotine cutter to lop off part of the computer geek's finger before jumping out of a commercial airliner? 🤔

Only reason I watched the cheesy movie is a co-worker did some of the stunt parachuting.

I bring a 15 count of one of these on a plane every trip:

http://www.cigarsinternational.com/travel-cases/37456/herf-a-dor-travel-humidor/

I also bring my guillotine cutters in my carry on and stow away a torch lighter by accident in my check in.

No cutter, they took mine at security (it was a cheep one so I didn't care).
