It's a shame that ALL the "donated prizes" can't be handled this way. ( as individual auctions)
It would certainly raise ALOT more $$$ for the drive.
Let's face it . . . most of the prizes donated are worth at least $100. Many of then are worth far more.

Let's say, for arguments sake, that somebody donates $20 or $30 for the chance to win one of the prizes,
( and if I recall . . . there were MORE prizes than $$$ donators last year and NOBODY walked away empty handed).
If that same person saw a $200 box of cigars or something else that caught his eye, up for auction, he may be inclined to "bid" more than $20 or $30.

My theory may be wrong, and NOT raise more $$$, but hey . . . I'm a lab tech, not a "bean counter".
Also, I suppose, it kind of takes away from the whole "spirit" of the CAT Fund Raiser, and would probably "push the envelope" with the powers that be at CBID, who have been VERY understanding and cooperative with the efforts of OpFTH here on the forums.

Okay . . . one last thing before I stop my rambling.
