No way we'd put the entire business at risk to do something like this.

Damn, that was quick. The next post, albeit three hours later.
I read the original post, but calls were coming in and I didn't get around to responding.
I wind up being surprised when someone pays close to internet selling price or more.
hell, I feel like a ghost a lot of the time.
I told my wife, I'm losing a number of bids, so must not be doing too badly.
Even so, if I'm going to already be into a freight charge, I've got other stuff coming and something I want and have lost bids on several times, and doesn't come up often when I am bidding, hey - I will put in a bid that is internet selling price or over for the convenience of having it come in now, and get it done. Particularly when I can get it done with a click of the mouse when I am at the keyboard anyhow.
I probably won't order for another month or six weeks.
I would rather pay a higher price and get it at the local B&M, but that takes time, working it into my schedule and his selection is not nearly so great.
Sometimes, if I have the time to kill I'll go by the local shop and spend some bucks just to be a part of helping keep a local shop in business.
While I don't do it much, if I pay close to internet selling price, or more - the only thing that bothers me about it is that I wish I were spending the bucks to support the local guy.
I smoke three cigars a week (hopefully, I keep it down to that level). That is something I have a problem with.
I don't have time or inclination to submit 30 failed bids on something that I want. If I smoked 3 a day, I would look at it somewhat differently.
As it is, I wish people would say state in their post what it is they feel is being overbid.
