[ram27bat] I have been smoking cigars for 25 years now. In and out of cigar shops buying that nice premium cigar to enjoy on the week-end. Now that my kids are thru college I got afew extra bucks to spend. A friend of mine turned me on to Cigarbid.com. I checked it out and was blown away at some of the goodies I could treat myself to. I wanted a humidor, not just one of those table top jobs A BIG HUMIDOR. Three weeks ago I bid on a "Tower of Power" and WON. I was happier then a kid on Christmas morning. I even bid on a Humi-Care XG1000pro HOLY CRAP...I won that too!. I got the humidifier in 3 days, now just gotta get the cabinet and I'm off to the races. Hell I wanted to pass out free cigars like a new Father that just held his new born baby Son for the first time. One week passed, no cabinet, no e-mail. second week comes, NO cabinet no e-mail. I contacted customer service, I was told it would be looked into and I would get get a answer that day. That day passed, NO answer. This past Friday I was told by customer service that my cabinet would be shipped Monday, the latest Tuesday and I would be sent a tracking number. Monday came NOTHING, Tuesday came NOTHING. I called customer service that evening and was told that MY TOWER OF POWER! was not even available from where ever to be shipped. I was told I could choose a red or black one that they had available and for my trouble C-Bid would throw in a free 10 pak sampler. Or I could wait till mid October and if it is available they would ship it then. ARE YOU %#&^@#$ KIDDING ME! After I did a little research on other cigar sites the going price on a Tower of Power with 8 draws averaged around $1050. Goes to show you the mark-up on this stuff. I I talked to customer service and was willing to make a deal. Send me a Chancellor Tower in it's place and were good. I found a exact knock off of the Chancellor called the Antique Tower on another site for $1,099. only a $49 difference. C-Bid's answer was NO. They would be loosing money on the deal. Hell they didn't even offer if I was willing to wait till mid October that they would eat the shipping costs, So for a poultry $49 C-Bid lost me and all the money I would of spent to fill my new Humidor, and to fill a cabinet of that size that's a lot of MONEY. I am a reasonable guy and if this post is seen by the owner of C-Bid or its management and want to do the right thing get back to me by the end of the day Thursday. Next time you place a item up for bid, make damn sure you have it in stock and ready to ship. this is no way to treat your customers, especially a new one.
