Hi Noob here - would love to hear some thoughts on the Perdomo line of cigars.

Seems like you can get them for a pretty decent price on here, and seem to be well made.

I may try to find a place that sells them and try a stick or 5 before committing to a purchase.

Thanks guys!

Very consistent - Well made.

Few are terrible. Fewer still are complex or stellar.

IMHO,

5% Very Good
90% OK
5% Pretty Sucky

The very few outstanding ones I've had are all out of production.

But, Nick Perdomo is a hell of a guy.

Still trying some, but have yet to find one I would buy again.

I hadn't thought about it much before, but you know, sweet spot for Perdomo blends seems to be much more vitola-dependent than others....at least to me.

Some I'd buy again....but only in the specific vitolas:

Patriarch Corojo - Lonsdale
Champagne Noir - Corona Extra
Tierra del Sol - Maduro Corona - ONLY! All other TdS's are in the opposite 5% category
10th Anni Maduro - Robusto
Habano Corojo - the big honkin torps that you can use as jack stands
Habano Maduro - Rob

Thanks guys I appreciate it!

And, if the owner's a nice guy well that just sweetens the pot!

Looks like I will have to try these now.

pretty much same as me......tried about 10 different Perdomos (small sample I know)
only disliked the Gran Cru.....
the rest were OK.....
the 10th Anni Maduro Rob was the only one I liked enough to purchase more......

solid construction and consistency though

I really like the 10th Anni criollo...........if only in a smaller ring gauge. It seems Perdomo has fallen into the HUGE RG rut. They make very few smaller than a 54 rg..........just not interested no matter how GREAT they are.I used to beg for all cigar manufacturers to make coronas.......now I'd settle for a robusto.

I really don't think the fact that Wheel enjoys man meat took anybody by surprise.

Interesting Ron,

I find I love the Robusto, and honestly Perfecto for that same reason. Corona for when I like something a little more time wise.

Poor Wheel - what did he do to suffer the wrath of CB [frypan]

10th Anniv Maduro is a decent cigar.
Have heard the 20th Anniv Maduro and Sungrown are also good, but I have not tried yet.
