Anyway, bs_kwaj, it is an odd design. and difficult to operate. Keep it full and keep firing it, seems to need a break in period. The ones I have work pretty good. When they crap out give them a toss, they function appropriately for the price point.

So, last night after work, when I stopped in and had that Nepalese Warrior, I used this lighter. Another thing that sucks about it is that the flip top portion gets in the way when lighting your cigar and then it keeps going out if you so much as breathe in its direction!

The only good thing about it................ I did get the cigar lit. 🇨🇮

Hey, I got 2 of these and they were just a give-a-way that cbid threw in with an order.

Works ok for the vets hall on nights when I stop in and don't have a lighter. If somebody walks off with it, no biggie. A BIC wouldn't last 3 days there before somebody walked off with it.

Evening,

I just bought a Moretti 4 flame hoping that it lasts long enough for me to use up a couple of cans of butane that I've had for years but it's now my considered opinion that cigars should only be lit with stick matches and the torches can (in steady hands), be used to toast the foot and touch up. No longer having steady hands - I got the silly thing for touch-ups.😉

Another update:

I see that CI is giving away pairs of these again with orders over $99.

As I mentioned, I had received 2 of them and somebody walked off with one from the Vets Hall. So, I took the second one down there and put it in a little empty JdN Rosalone box and put it up on the back of a wine cabinet behind the bar.

Although I still don't like the lighting sequence with it, I have used it several times and it no longer goes out as soon as a slight breeze hits it.

I've had about a half dozen colibri reload lighters I picked up here for $4 after shipping a couple years ago... one broke, all of the others have remained true with no problems... had maybe 3 tanks go bad but that's why there are extras... I only use colibri butane as I get it here cheap as well... even a colibri soft flame lighter is better than a bic... I've got one of those as well, no problems in 2 years...
