I've tried all of the vitolas - most of them several times spread out over a couple of years.

The wrappers appear to be made from some sort of asbestos-impregnated textile.👎

I am now accepting cgars that others don't want to smoke. If anyone has any Rosalones, Padrons, Fuentes, Olivas, Tatwahays, etc. you just send em my way for proper disposal.

I'm planning to smoke a My Father La Antiquedad after work tonight, but, after seeing this thread, I'm also bringing along a JdN Rosalones just in case I decide to smoke two. Not to worry though, if the Rosalones tries to kill me and I have to chuck it... I also brought a CyB Corona Real in reserve.

I've smoked a couple of the Rosalones in the recent past, and they were so good....
I can't even remember them. 🤔

Maybe the extra time in the humidor will have helped.

So... I got to the Rosalones tonight. At first it was kinda unremarkable. But down into the second half it was smoking easy with a lot of smoke and it had a good flavor. Smoked it down until it was burning my fingers at about a half inch.

Hey... so... It was a good smoke and I was happy to smoke it. There you have it, the bs seal of approval. ;-)

Found that Rosalones 552 Robusto without much searching and smoked it this morning. Started out with an acrid and annoying taste, making me understand why some would toss it right away, but the annoyance faded away until the final 2 inches when it started coming back and then it flamed out. I chose not to relight. This cigar was aquired in late December, 2013, so it had at least 8 months of rest. Would I buy any more- NO !
