Didn't he apologize for what he did and his fiancée decided not to press charges? Doesn't there need to be a crime to take place for an apology and a decision not to press charges?

I tend to agree. They knew... but now everybody knows so they had to act. Integrity is doing what's right, even when nobody is watching. The NFL has no integrity. It's all about the dollar.

They don't care if firing Ray Rice puts him over the edge. They don't care if he gets treatment, or goes to counseling. They just want to do whatever it takes to keep the public buying tickets, merchandise and watching the games.

I thought integrity was admitting you should have done the right thing after you've already done the wrong thing... like goodell saying "I got it wrong"... you've got some pretty high standards there macs...

I think in domestic violence cases the DA decides whether or not to press charges, not the victim... she refused to testify so they lowered the charges...

Have to agree on integrity here. When they thought the video would not be released 2 games seem like enough damage control. Now indefinite? So I guess out of sight out of mind is a good policy when dealing with scumbags.

I knew his attempts at an apology where bogus from the way he didn't seem to care when she was laying on the ground and now to see the video makes me think it is not the 1st time he has beaten on a woman.

The wife abuse policy is only two games.

But the penalty for head-shot concussions has upped the ante.

Maybe he thought his coach told him to hit the hoe more quickly. An innocent mistake. I blame the nfl.

I heard she was talkin' chit.

In Baltimore, it is a standard defense that wins every time.

Maybe if He kills his wife now, he'll get a statue too.

Keep it classy Baltimore!

Double jeopardy.

Ex post facto.

Now if he lied, that is new grounds for the league to punish him further.

Cue the parade...

-He reads (poorly) a prepared statement with a vague mea culpa, and reports he is going to get into Anger Management therapy.

-Get on the talk show circuit.

- Shed a few tears.

- Do some community service.

-Throw some money toward a local abuse shelter and wear a Black & Blue Baltimore 'Buse tee shirt while doing it.

-Disappear for six months.

-Announce he's changed.

-Grease the hands of the NFL office.

-He joins a mini camp next July.

Nope, if he were a few years younger and last year was closer to his norm for him then maybe. Getting too close to 30 and not alot of RBs make 30 let alone surpass it. To be willing to take the punishment from the fans for bringing this guy back he must be a top player at a position of need for a super bowl contender other then that his career is over.
