Yes, but the are better things to read. Advertisers are wasting their Time on me.

As long as one buys the bulk of their cigars at a deep discount they can continue to expect the same thing. You get what you pay for. That's not to say you can finds some real gems out there. You just have to sift through tons of pay dirt to fine an ounce of gold.

Have I purchased crap cigars in the past?
Of course, when I was inexperienced.
But never again, as I have a vetting "system".

There's a handful of cigar web sites and Forums that I peruse regularly, where their members do "reviews" of cigars.
Over the years, I have come to "trust" a dozen or so these reviewers.

For example:
Quite some time ago, Pro mentioned here that he smokes lots of Kristoff Ligero Maduro Robustos.
I had not tried one.
I know, from several sources, that Pro doesn't smoke crap. Still, I need more info before committing to buy.
So then I went and checked out that cigar with my "trusted" reviewers from the other said web sites.
Pretty much universally praised.
That cigar is now a regular in my rotation.
BTW, the Kristoff Sumatra is amazing as well.
Good thing I know where and how to get them cheap.......RIP DP.

Here's an honest one from the mothership on Gerants Golden Siesta: "Gerant, like Rip Van Winkle, should have stayed asleep much longer, for smoking this offering will make you wish you were unconscious. Getting cigars based on ads is like picking a movie by reading the box.
They all sound like the best flick ever made. If it said complete waste of time, this is and hour and 30 minutes of your life you'll never get back it would defeat the purpose.
He'll that one I might watch just for being honest. Nah, fuq that chit.
A turds a turd. Cheapo cigars and cheapo booze you get what you pay for.

I like the ad copy on the super cheap dog rockets that pretty much only talk up the cheap price as a virtue of the cigar.

Those are the closest to honesty in advertising as it gets.

The place I've been buying from lately doesn't have descriptions, just the name, sometimes a picture, and a price. Realized while the ad description may be off, at least listing the blend makeup and strength helps me choose.

Then there is Duque which, in the mothership catalog tells you "...it sure beats a sharp stick to the eye." Makes you want to go and buy a couple of bundles.
