So... I've been trying to figure out how to get my hands on some materials for an office prank, and have been reasonably unsuccessful so far.

Anyone know where to get simple foam, styrofoam or other lightweight blocks? Size isn't too critical, but I'd like something that will function in the same manner as actual bricks. I'm going to need between 300 and 400 of these, and would like to keep costs from skyrocketing. Everywhere I've looked this will cost me up to 400$ to implement and I'd rather not.

Anyone work in an industry where you encounter these regularly and know where I can buy them?

Real bricks was my first thought. But I calculated it out and it would require approximately 1 ton of real bricks. So I decided foam might be the way to go.

what exactly are you trying to do? Are you going to bust through them like the Kool-Aid man or just have a faux wall up to hide something? If it's just to hide something, there are other things like brick backsplash or brick wallpaper that you could mount on the outside of cardboard boxes.

That's running about 1$/brick on the link you sent me. Trying to avoid a 3-400$ prank. I guess I may have to suck it up.

Intention is to brick his desk in completely. Floor to ceiling. I will use some sort of adhesive to glue these together... I'm thinking a thick adhesive that resembles mortar. I don't want him to be able to get around the wall, over the wall or through it without having to cut through the bricks.

If I can do this cheaply enough, and can find a cheap source, I may fill the space with ball-pit balls.

Ok... those may be packages of 4 "blocks" but they are small... so it'd require more... Still would cost me approx 300$ to implement with those dollar store foam blocks.

Here's your best option and its pretty much free

Find a bamboo stand and cut your own. Make a fence using wire. The best option is to drill holes and run wire or string through.

We did this at the frat house to extend the yard for outdoor parties.

I was a sales manager for a brick co.

Real bricks would never work due to the weight

Fake bricks could just be pushed over.
