🤔
not sure about the formula exactly.. but based on what I've read, since you're running a V6 you should prolly be running about 110psi in your tires... 👍

A lot of off roaders use the VIAIR portable air compressors. The 400P or 450P could work within your price range. 🌫

Thanks for the lesson. I usually keep my truck tires at 35 psi. Can you post a link to the tire pressure tow formula? I'm interested to know if I should be bumping it up. My trailer weighs about 3600. I have no idea what the tongue weight is, TBH, and I am just guess-timating at the total trailer weight based on what I was told... never weighed it.

I know my truck doesn't like steep hills, but that's likely because it's a 4.0L V6.

You can find various formulas on the web, and people argue about this stuff all the time.

This page has a few of the more popular ones.
I use the first one, and add 10% or so, depending on how far away I am from my max pressure.

I just follow owner's manual.

55-65 unloaded 80psi when loaded or towing. 55-65 in the front.

With 1k on the tongue, and about 500 in the bed, TPMS displaying 84 on the rears, max is 85 on the sidewall stamping.

Knowing nothing about your truck/trailer weight ratings and such, I'd still go out on a limb and tell you that towing 3600lbs on 17" tires inflated to 35lbs is probably not a great idea..........jmho.
