After owning a MK III, standard, for years and mastering the complex assembly after cleaning, I thought it was time for a change.

Picked up a MK IV Target earlier this week, brought it up north with me for my annual shoot-n-herf and couldn't be happier.

Put 300 rounds through it yesterday, no failure to feed with my old MK III magazines, pleasure to shoot.

Took it apart in under 10 seconds with reassembly about the same! No more rawhide mallet, cursing and frustration.

Rifle day today, weather looks like it's going to cooperate!

I have had the Mark I for several years and still enjoy occasionally running rounds through it. It was always in my bass boat especially if I was fishing alone or at night.

It sent many cotton mouths and occasional rattler to their watery grave.

I have a Mark III 22/45 I use to shoot the NSSF Rimfire Challenge. I have a little tool* with a loop of steel cable to grab the dissembly lever and reassembly is easy once you get the trigger stirrup in the proper place. It's a little fiddly, but not too bad.

The 22/45 is essentially the same pistol with the grip angle of a Colt 1911, it will also accept 1911 grip panes with a little bit of modification.

The newer model would be nice, but I've made the following modifications I would need to repeat on a new pistol.

Eliminated the magazine safety

Replaced the hammer and sear with Volquartsen Firearms Target replacements

Eliminated the loaded chamber mechanism

Replaced the firing pin and extractor with enhanced replacements from Tandemkross

Installed a Tandemkross Victory trigger

Majestic Arms walnut grips

Mounted a C-More red dot sight

Is that^^^ the NEW .22 semi auto pistol
With all the andonized aluminum finish and the threaded suppressor end , with a threaded cap on the end, some are "ported" too?

Youngest cub picked up a Kel Tec PMR - 30, 22mag with 30 round capacity, a couple of weeks ago. Says it is a lot of fun to shoot.

Yea, I've seen them in a few stores...
They are cool looking pistols...fer' sure...

Kinda high prices...

But I saw one on sale at a great price,
Problem is, I'm broke with some serious credit cards

Nice! 30 rounds and the loaded pistol is pretty light too. Kel Tec has a clever magazine that feed those rimmed .22 mag cartridges pretty reliably.

My shoot n herf buddy has MK II and III, target and hunter, he picked up the new 22/45 with threaded barrel. Cool looking pistola!

Great fun yesterday. I bought a MK IV Hunter with adjustable sights and added a hi-viz front.
I am able to produce two inch groups one handed (easier then .45 grip) at 50 feet left and right handed. Seems when I shoot righty I'm low right but left I'm right on. WTF I'm a righty!
Cripes what a pistol.

Today was AR day, my friend has a 20" Rock River with a NEW Vortex 24. Holy crap I tuned it in for him to produce 2" at 100, this year 200 was a challenge, wind, vision, old age etc. about 4 inch there. Did much better last year.

My RR carbine with flip sights we hit clays at 100 well, 50 with ease.

M1 Carbine was just fun regardless. Damn I love that rifle. 50/75 yards hit clays with ease, can't believe GI's qualified at more then that. What a fun gun to shoot.

Past weekend I got my hands on the youngest cubs PMR 30. Really a fantastic feeling weapon, 14 oz with high vis sights.

Called one local shop today and the reply was you are looking for the hardest pistol around to find. Our distributer will not call us back.

Called another shop and now second on list for black model. Guy ahead wants green or tan. My luck green and tan will be the only model received for the next six months.
