Never been to puff. Won't be going any time soon, especially after reading this.

I had a very strong bias against them from the first days of their existence. I don't recall all the details, but my memory's version goes something like this....
-mid to late 2008, a blowhard (Caputo?...now deceased, I think) that didn't seem to have a ton of respect from the community bought up about a half dozen somewhat active cigar forums and consolidated them all into Puff
-this spawned a couple/few NEW forums started by decent brothers who couldn't stand Caputo, nor the new Puff
-I was very unimpressed with puff and with those running the place...I haven't been back since late 2008, I don't think

The truth might be a bit different from my recollection, but ....nowadays, truth is a pipedream anyway

The good thing to come out of it was that at least two pretty good forums arose ...maybe more. Bottom line is that I never gave two **** about puff since earliest weeks...in fact, I thought the power grab and arrogance played quite poorly in this community

Back then I was just a noob buying a fiver or so from the shpo once or twice a week.

If I remember right, my main cigars back then were Padron Londres/2000, Avo classics and RP 1990 .

My first experience from puff is about the time I started here in 2014. I saw a wineador on there and wanted one, so I built it and showed it on there. Shortly after, I started reading some threads here, and saw everyone busting each others balls, posting hot chicks, playing poker for cigars and betting football games... I was like, ya, that's more my speed.

Only reason I went back was I followed gummy over from one of his posts to see wtf he was talking about, then ended up recovering my password and posted a few things.

As soon as I got a post deleted and a warning about tits, I knew the place was trash (didn't take long). At that point, it was a race to the bottom, I was curious how long it would take me to get banned... not long obviously, lol. I've always had a knack for getting kicked off forums... fast fingers I guess.

That's some interesting history though, I've read stuff off other forums, but you guys are the best, and probably the only ones who would have me lol.

One of our CBid ladies (member not employee) I believe was a mod there and got tired of their schit.....

My step dad had ordered me a box for my birthday, but when my birthday hit, he told me my present was on backorder, I was like ahhh, you didn't have to do that.

Couple months later, he told me what he was waiting for (I forgot by that point), I was like oooooo, those are tasty.

He never did get them, he ended up cancelling it.

I would box split one with you if you want (assuming your local will sell a whole box).

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Coordinate waves of new members week to week so that we can build up posts. After a month start coordinating passes but only amongst our core cbid group to show them how it's really done and when someone complains they're not added to a pass just tell them sorry but we noticed in the past your picks are real fruity and we would rather have fair traders in our passes. And then one by one invade their passes and just back each other up saying that the trades aren't right and people are getting fleeced. The beauty of this is that we don't even have to pass a box if we don't want to. Lol we just need to make it seem like we're doing all these trades and then the newbs will figure it out.
