Hey guys and gals.

I bought a new humidor but cannot fit all my cigars.

I ordered another but it won't arrive for ten days.

How should I store my unprotected cigars in the mean time ?

Can I soak a napkin in distilled water and put them in a sealed baggie ?

Thank you for any advice.

The best way is to dotbat and then slit little lines in them with a razor to soak up all the moisture. Pro tip.

I am In Phoenix and the RH is 20 % or less.

I will do the lettuce in a sealed tupperware.

Welcome, Mr. Vance. I bet you're John Kerry's biggest fan.....since he robbed you of the title of Worst Secretary of State....Ever....

Skit the lettuce...even if you get three more humidors, you're going to need humidification device(s). Get yourself to the local cigar shop and buy a couple/few humipacks, or even just water pillows. Won't matter if you use tupperware or ziploc bags. I suggest boveda packs for immediate use....beads from heartfelt or HCM for your longer term needs

Actually, I keep my cigars in a walk in closet. I purchased a room humidifier and will use it in said closet. That and the humidor humidifier should solve the problem.

lettuce, kitty litter ... either way a second rate solution ... if you're going to insist on not doing it right, go with the wrung-out paper towel and keep it moist ... don't let it get bone dry ...

me, I'd go with the humidification beads ... they were originally developed for priceless works of art rather than grown for use in salads or to absorb cat urine ...

I use ExquisiCat Low Dust Crystals in large tupperware (with the gasket) for long term storage of my cigars. It holds between 65 and 67% pretty consistently. I keep them at 67 degrees. Available at PetSmart

A great solution if storing a large number of cigars. I use the beads in my NewAir.

should be alright in an airtight ziploc or tupperware for just 10 days. If you they dry out a bit in that time then just put them in the humi when you have the room for a week before smoking.
